[Discussion] Pokemon Ranger best way to go about making a fangame

heya! So, I want to make at least a demo of a Pokemon Ranger fangame

I've been considering either using an existing pokemon engine like Essentials or PSDK and adding pokemon ranger functionality to them ,
or making a game from scratch that's portable to Switch/WiiU

I think the pros and cons are pretty obvious:
    Essentials extension:
-Widespread use, the game outside of the ranger element is easier to make
-Tons of resources for everything else
-People can potentially make ranger fangames in the future
    -Playable in phones pretty easily

    From scratch:
-Can be ported to WiiU / Switch ( /Switch2?)
    -Original games feel
    -Complete freedom
-Implementing pokemon as a whole from scratch (guaranteed I can use all the existing assets and databases)
-Can't be reused to make other fangames easily

If I'm being honest I wouldn't even consider making a game from scratch if Pokemon Reloaded didn't exist and worked so well

Anyway, let me know if I'm missing an easy way to make the demo happen, or any vital info that makes one of the two unviable

    Tyvm for reading!
