I found some brand new screens found on the japanese pokemon site, and it looks like you can use moves like everyday moves out of battle, that or they've mads some HM's!

According to the text under scrnshots, it seems like you don't formally own Pokemon. Instead, you "borrow" their help, then release them into nature again.

This game looks cool (The screens are awsome and reminicent of Regnarok Online).
I think the "stick" will some how use the stylus (It is a Stick after all!). It could be used to guide the Pokemon around (Maybe) like a pointer or somthing.

Guys, there's a thread about the site open for Ranger! The game looks good.

So far:
- Plusle is for female main, while Minun is for male main chara.

- Set in Fiole (Phiole?) region, and is far away from Kanto and Hoenn.
So far, there are only 2 known places, Ring town and Foru (Foll?) city.

- Mission based.

- There are ranger levels and a ranger certificate in game.

- Capture system (the stick?): Nice, it seems like you make circles around a Pokemon with the stylus to synchronize the Pokemons feelings with yours, to borrow their powers.

- So far the known characters are (in order of character section in site):
- Main character
- Leader Hayate
- Joe/Aria (Alia?)
- Prof. Sinbala
- Mysterious people in glasses

a minun or a plusle arrrrrrrrrr I wanted something a little better like a scyther or something, lol. nah only joking looks pretty good don't like the sound of the capture/battle system though

i think that the whole encircling the pokemon wiht the stylus is a great idea
also the idea of not owning the pokemon is kind of stupid in my opinion because then it can't really be an RPG

RPG = role playing game. In Ranger, you play a role of a Pokemon Ranger, therefor, Pokemon Ranger=RPG.

But if you mean Ranger isn't like traditional Pokemon, I do agree.
