Hi everyone, I'm lntempo/tokiyomi. I've created a Pokemon fan game using RPG Maker XP with Pokemon Essentials as a template. It's called Pokemon Recollections!

Introductions:
I've been playing Pokemon since 2000 or 2001, from the first generation until the fifth generation. If I was asked about the most memorable and epic game in my childhood, I can proudly say it's Pokemon. What's so special about Pokemon? Other than the gameplay itself, I and my best friends during primary school used to play around together as if we're entering the imaginary world of Pokemon. In that world we're using our own favorite Pokemon that were actually caught in the game and created our own story. Maybe it's sound a little weird now, but it was a lots of FUN back then.
During that time, I have a dream to see our story in an actual game. Yes, I really want to create my own Pokemon game since primary school. But due to my helplessness as a kid, this idea keeps diminishing and diminishing until I've forgot about it around my time in high school.
Fast forward to May 2016, during my final semester in obtaining bachelor degree, I somehow ran across Pokemon Essentials. After a lot of reading, I was reminded of my childhood dream. Then surge of ideas came out and I found myself actually creating my own Pokemon game. Luckily this project didn't really affect my life (graduated and currently working a full time job).
Firstly, it was just for fun and for fulfilling my dream and amusement (there are some references from anime, movies, literatures, other games and also my real life), but after I contacted some of my friends for feedbacks and such, most of them tell me the same thing. "Why don't you upload it online?" Well, so here I am.
Story:
"There are still so many things that I don't know about these creatures that lives alongside humans called Pokemon." - Dymlos
You'll be playing in an era when Pokedex is invented. The Professor hires you and 6 other young teenager to fill the Pokedex by encountering all P in the region to make a full encyclopedia. You'll see them as your friends, colleagues and rivals. After feeling the excitement and sensation of Pokemon battle, these 7 young Trainers will compete each other to get better and become the best.
After a while you'll encounter a shady underground organization trying to attempt something mysterious which the police are currently investigating. They'll do anything to achieve their goal. What is their goal?
Features:
This is a "challenging" game:
• The battle type is always "Set".
• You'll get a Game Over Screen (Return to Title) if you lose a battle with deficit money or lose an important story battle.
• Most major characters are "challenging" (some of them have a certain gimmick). Even a regular trainer in the later part of the story can be quite challenging too if you're not prepared.
• I personally think that this is much harder than any original Pokemon games I've played (You might have to try a little harder than your usual original Pokemon games).
• Someone new to Pokemon games will find this game really difficult. (It's still quite easy at the beginning, but the difficulty will raise along the progression of story).
Mostly generation 5 mechanics, details as follow:
• Featuring all 649 P (Starter is Snivy, Tepig, or Oshawott)
• 93 repeatable use TM and 8 HM
• Battle is using generation 6 rules
• Graphic is mostly generation 3 (Gen 3 is the one I spent most time and comfortable with)
• Audio from Pokemon Essentials and Generation 5
Post Pokemon League things to do:
• There is a tournament featuring 24 major characters (including you) from the story
• Each time you enter, the bracket distribution will be different! (You'll face different opponent every time!)
• There is also a Boss Rush (This is extremely hard)
• You can't change held items and the party order between battles
• You can easily create any team (After you've completed Pokemon League, there is a new invented machine that set your Pokemon with max EV to level 99. This will extremely reduce the time of grinding in creating team to challenge the Tournament or Boss Rush).
• Can re-challenge any Gym Leaders.
Evolution methods that require trade is modified:
• A Pokemon that evolve when traded (ex: Kadabra), will evolve when reaching certain level
• A Pokemon that evolve when traded while holding a certain item (ex: Onix holding Metal Coat), will evolve when leveled up while holding that certain item
• Shelmet and Karrablast will evolve if you had the other in party when leveled up
Others:
• 8 Gym Leaders, Elite four, and Champion
• 20++ hours gameplay
• 15 cities, 19 routes, and some more caves or dungeons to explore
• Accessible hidden ability
• Minigames (triple triad, mining, game corner, etc) and some puzzles
Progress (or should I say, pending things):
• There might be some unnoticed bug by me and my testers
• Spelling and grammatical error
• Need more NPC (especially indoors) and more lore
• Double and Multi Battle Tournament
• Finishing touches
• Maybe other suggestions from you?

Lastly, please pardon if you find my incompetency in this project. I'm far away from expert (I created this alone and really have no background whatsoever in creating games). I would really appreciate any comments, feedbacks, and critiques. I really hope that many people out there can play and enjoy this game.
