The original Pokémon games came out in 1995. Their names were POCKET MONSTERS Red/Green. In 1998, Pokémon came out in the Americas with the Anime "Indigo League" and the replacement of Green, Pokémon Blue. They were Pokémon Red/Blue. The originals would not allow you to pick gender until Gold/Silver/Crystal. The game came out on the GameBoy and was in Black/White. It had 8 Gyms you had to beat, as well as Team Rocket. You play as a boy named Red who can pick 3 starters named Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle. You complete the pokédex by catching the 149 Pokémon/POCKET MONSTERS, as well as 2 Legendaries. What are your thoughts on the games? What starter do you like the best? Who is your favorite Gym Leader? Comment.

    Um... I... Um...

    Nope, can't resist... :)

The games came out in 1996, there were 151 Pokémon, and 5 Legendaries, counting Mew.

Well... They're great, but there are so many glitches in it.... Favo starter is Squirtle and Gym Leader is Blaine, the hot-headed quizmaster!
