Pokemon Restoration

Pokemon Restoration is the very first game that I'll be making, my others (Amethyst, Amber and Aquamarine) will be on hold because of revisions that I need to make to the plots.

This game will essentially come in two parts. A male version and a female version. Why? Because it is a crossover game. Sort of. I'm taking elements from Harvest Moon and incorporating them into Pokemon. Such examples include the dating-sim/friend-making and the livestock/animal husbandry aspects. I might also make a third version for both genders if there are people who don't want the "romance" in, basically meaning it will be for everyone, but no romancey stuff or heart scenes.

The plot for this game is that a virus has spread, turning into a plague that has essentially wiped out 90% of the worlds pokemon population (very Permian, no?). At this rate, if things go on the way it is going, pokemon will die out entirely. Seeing this as a catastrophe, Professor Oak has summoned you and many trainers/Gym Leaders/Coordinators, ect that he knows to a secluded island where your pokemon will be safe from the plague. Here, you are granted the facilities to start to get the pokemon population back up on its feet.

But taking care of other people's pokemon is a lot of responsability. You need to be a trusted figure who is reliable enough to allow for trainers to lend their precious friends to you. Make friends with the trainers on the island and slowly they'll start lending their pokemon out. And who knows, you might just find someone special on the island as well.

You might not be very good at the breeding gig. Pokemon eggs are fragile and if not cared for they could die. But some people like it that way. There are some stowaways on the island that would love to see Professor Oak's desperate project go up in flames. There are also members of Team Rocket on the island. Whether you choose to delve into dealings with them us up to you. It could mean the difference between things going back to normal and a change in the balance of power.

Yes, every pokemon egg will be custom designed to fit a particular species that they will hatch into, just like in the anime. These are the only eggs that I have been able to create so far. I will animate all of them in one go, so I'm basically waiting for when I get all the eggs that I need.

So far, mostly everything has been done by myself, though I have no experience as of yet with scripting. Seeing as that would be a major part of the game, I need to find someone to help me learn.​

It's a very interesting premise and I really like the dating/friendship and livestock/farming mechanics (being a Harvest Moon fan and all :p) so I really think you could be onto something there. The eggs like pretty cool (I especially like the tentacool one) and I like having the persons chat head visible during conversation however the Dr. Oak head seems to have a few lines missing.
