Introduction to the project

Pokemon Rocket Advance is a Pokemon fan-game based-off Team Rocket (Not the Team Rocket Trio, Jessie James and Meowth). It is inspired by the fan game Pokemon Toxic Purple, which, sadly, never got finished. I decided to make this fan-game when I saw Pokemon Insurgence, an amazing Pokemon fan-game. I had already tried to make a Pokemon ROM-Hack a few years earlier and failed miserably, because of my lack of knowledge in ROM hacking. Then, (Early 2016) I'd found Pokemon Essentials, a free-to-use easy Pokemon game making kit for RPG maker XP. Interested in the kit, I decided to make a quick game on it. It was way easier to use than most ROM hacking tools, much to my delight, and had many exclusive features compared to other methods. Now, I just needed to think of something to base my fangame on. Looking through the forums, I'd discovered Pokemon Toxic Purple. It was a pokemon game that let you play as a team Rocket Grunt. After researching on Bulbapedia, I finally decided to make a Pokemon game based off Team Rocket.

Game plot

Spoiler:

You play as a Team Rocket Grunt in Pokemon Rocket Advance. Starting as a new recruit, you try to get to the top of the Team Rocket hierachy and help "boss" take over the world, one reigon at a time. (More info later)
