I know thart certian pokemon can evolve by being traded via link cable , my question is this , does it work the same way when you trade pokemon between 2 game paks in Pokemon Stadium 2 .

It should. 'Course, never did it myself, but it should still work.

If you trade between 2 GB paks with two transfer paks, then yes.
If you trade between a GB pak and Stadium 2, likely yes. I believe it will still evolve, but I'm not 100% sure.

YAY , It worked :D :D :D , i traded porygon from the pokemon crystal pak with upgrade attached to the pokemon silver pak and it evolved into porygon 2
