Hello! First-time poster and first-time rom hacker here. Working on a Fire Red hack with Hexmaniac Advance. I was wondering if it would be possible to implement a system in which you are only allowed to use as many pokemon as your opponent has. Akin to what you would see in the anime or similar to Pokemon Stadium. This would be for all battles throughout the game and trainers would vary with pokemon count. Is this doable? If so, is it something that can be implemented dynamically, as opposed to having to run to a PC before every battle in order to match the opponent's number of pokemon?
This is kind of a core aspect of my dream game I'm wanting to make. Would love to know if there's even a possibility early-on, before I get too invested in this particular idea. I haven't gotten very far in my journey, just been playing around with HMA and watching/reading tutorials for over a week now. Thank you in advance for reading and for any guidance.
