They should have had it in the DS games since Diamond/Pearl!

I'd hate to see the games littered with 3D models, to be honest. They'd take up space, they probably wouldn't look good (since the DS's 3D graphics are aliased and have a terrible polygon count) and… we're going to have around 600+ Pokémon to have a model for.

Sprites are definitely where it's at.

I agree with this, if they want to make Stadium style Battles they should actually make a Pokemon Stadium 3 to tie in with the 5th Gen, or better still have one that ties all 5 Generations together, with a Gym Leader Castle that has all the Gym Leaders, E4 member, and Champions from all the games so far, but I'm getting off topic here so in short, sprites are where it's at for Handheld Pokemon games, at least until Nintendo release a new Handheld that can handle 3D graphics well enough.

better yet, they should hurry up and come out with a new pokemon stadium or a true pokemon console game.
    pokemon stadium 3 ftw

I'd rather not see that as a part of Black and White, but I do really want Game Freak to make a Stadium 3.

I think the style for the larger consoles works for them, and the type of graphics used in the handhelds is just as appropriate. :)

If they did that on the 3DS it would look spectacular.

i prefer the pokemon in 2d, makes it look more anime like. if they just work on the sprites more, like add animation which they have done, it would look nice.
