    [PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon StarterKit VX

    Introduction:
I decided that, since I've pretty much mastered rmvx, I'd try something fun, like a starter kit. So, i decided to make the Pokemon StarterKit VX. I got some resources, compiled them myself, got some of them compiled for me, and i started to compile.
I've had a lot of fun making this, and i'm gonna enjoy all of your replies. Don't worry, I can take criticism well.

Good to see a starter kit on another system. However, I do not use VX myself, I'm very much an RMXP kind of guy. I would recommend possibly making this starter kit a bit more modern though. You said the screenshots are a little old so I'll not comment on them too much. But from what I do see, is that you're very much stuck in the FRLG/RSE style.

I think that you should work with "DS" based graphics, interfaces and the likes so that this could appeal to a broader spectrum of game developers as this style is very outdated. I'm not saying "GO WITH DUAL SCREEEEEN", but even if you made this with some DS based graphics with one screen it would add a bit of individuality to your starter kit. Right now it simply just looks a bit like the one developed by poccil and flameguru.

With that said, I wish you luck with the project, and hopefully this will encourage people to work on VX more often.

Hmm ... I don't see the point of making an SK on RMVX if not to exploit the possibilities RGSS 2 relative to RGSS1 (which could be corrected by use of API or other).
You could recode tilemap script to use 1x1 graphics on map for exemple.

On these screens I have the impression of seeing a project with Pokémon resources than anything else. (It's my point of view after all.)

    This looks good.
I would try it but it's on another forum!
I have tom many forum accounts :/ I don't want to make another.
You could just upload what you currently have on Pokecommunity via attachments or via a internet uploader like Mediafire or something ?

~good luck with this any way :3

Unfortunately, if I did that, no one would visit my site, therefore, can't upload it here. Sorry if this upsets you, but I need some business on my site.

But you could advertise your forum in your sig.
This is gonna attract a lot of Trolls and n00bs asking for it and the not going to your forum. :/ (im not trolling ... yet ;) )
