    Going back through the OST of Pokemon the first movie and listening to the individual themes that are played throughout the movie's run-time.

    Me and my twenty one year old brother almost broke immediately into a loud sob after only three seconds into the "Tears of Life" song from where the Pokemon bring Ash back from stone. What did these theme songs mean to you--Did they have any deep meaning to you or some kind of strong emotion to go with them as silly as this sounds? We couldn't even make it any further into the song--it was too much. Does this just make us weak hearted or is it really that meaningful to some of you as well?

    Some can be found here.

    (I strongly advise listening to one or two of them before commenting)

    The theme songs suited the tone perfectly in my opinion. Especially that part with "Brother my Brother". It actually allowed me to watch the film over and over just because everything flowed together perfectly with the music

    I really hated the "Brother My Brother" insert song. I thought that the song was just pretty bad overall. Other than that song, the music was alright

    I cried as Brother My Brother played. Its so signature for this film and no other movie had affective music like this.

    All in all just a nostalgic movie for me, and I found the tracks to fit really well.

    I like Blessid Union of Souls, so I was happy that one of their songs were in soundtrack, but that song always makes me sad because it reminds me of the Pokemon movie. xD; Specifically the fight that it plays during.. however, that song doesn't bother me as much as Tears of Life.

    Personally, I find that song to be very pretty, but also sad at the same time.. ; ; Just hearing it almost makes me teary-eyed, but I don't ever cry. Unless of course I actually watch the movie.. the scene with Ash being hit by that attack always gets me. ;~;

    "Tears Of Life" always gets me pretty emotional. So does "Brother My Brother" and "If Only Tears Could Bring You Back". I also love the use of the song "We're A Miracle" at the start of the end credits. It fits the beach scene very well. I always have to picture this scene when I hear the song.
    Emotional songs almost always touch me very deeply. So either this is normal for more people or I'm just weak hearted, too ^^

    I decided to do a comparison of the big battle scene in the 1st movie and got in a few of the dialogue edits, too. The dub seems watered down by the use of the song, I think
    DUB and RAW - Movie 1 Battle Scene I dunno what anyone else thinks.

    Listening to the first seconds of "Tears of Life" already sends the shivers down my spine. I like this song very much. It indeed brings the emotions of sadness, and what not, but also manages to keep the note of Hope alive. [/gets poetical] XD
    I'm very happy that they used most of those songs in "Mewtwo Returns", 'specially for the ending credits. I have the score of the first Pokemon Movie. You just gave the me the urge to listen to it again. :3
