NOTES: This is a crossover between Pokemon and Duel Masters. I started a story like this one over at anther Pokemon Forum, but this is a new version and it will be much longer. So for all of you Pokemon and Duel Masters fans here is my story. The Polano Region belongs to me as well as my own Pokemon. Kokujo is the only Duel Masters character in this and thus does not belong to me. This story is rated T for Teens. Also this story will start of a little like my other version, but more in detail. This takes place between seasons 1 and 2 of Duel Masters…but if this story happened then Kokujo would be gone from the series because he is in the Pokemon World. Note that Kokujo is OOC in the beginning of this chapter only because he had his memory erased.

    Pokemon: The Legend of Kokujo

A crescent moon hung over a lake somewhere between the borders of the Polano and Sinnoh regions. A Pokemon could be seen looking up at the night sky. She had the looks of some sort of strange yellow, pink, and blue swan. This was the legendary Pokemon Cresselia. She noticed a small area in the sky grow a little darker and she stared at that spot and made her way over.

'Chosen one…' she said in a telepathic voice as she looked towards the dark spot in the sky. '…Kokujo.'

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Within the black spot in the sky was the area known as The World Between Worlds. A teenage boy is looking around confused. His mind was blank—he remembered nothing. He was wearing all black; black jacket, black pants, and black shoes. No shirt. He had long dark blue hair. This is Kyoshiro Kokujo.

'Kokujo,' a voice said out of no where and he looked around—seeing no one.

"Whose there?" he said trying to search though his mind on how he had got there—nothing. The only thing he remembered was his name. Nothing about where he was before ending up in this dark waste land.

Cresselia appeared in front of him. 'Do not be afraid,' she said. 'I have come to tell you about your mission—your destiny.'

"My mission?" Kokujo replied. "My…destiny?" He tried to bring up where he was when he was transported here…nothing.

'I'm sorry about this,' Cresselia looked towards the teen in front of her. 'But I have erased your memory. You know nothing about your past and the events leading up to now.'

"No wonder I'm so confused…" Kokujo looked at the creature before him. "What are you?"

'I'm Cresselia,' was the reply. 'One of the legendary Pokemon.'

    "A Pokemon?"

'Pokemon are creatures,' Cresselia answered. 'Some Pokemon are trained by humans to be used in battle. These are called Pokemon Trainers. There are others besides trainers, but for you to go though with your role you must become a trainer.'

"What do Pokemon Trainers do?" was Kokujo's answer.

'They catch Pokemon to use in battles and contests,' Cresselia said. 'You are about to be teleported to a place in the region of Polano known as Mystic Cave. There you will find your team of six Pokemon. Train them well, Chosen One.'

"Why did you call me 'Chosen one'?"

'Because Kokujo, you are the one chosen to protect the Pokemon World from anything that threatens to destroy or harm it or its residents.'

"Why pick me out of everyone else from…where ever I came from?" Kokujo asked.

'Because of the way you were,' Cresselia said. 'You were evil…in a way.'

Kokujo jumped back at that. 'She's right….' He closed his eyes trying to get the short memory that flashed though his mind back. 'Darkness…'

'I'm sending you to Mystic Cave now,' Cresselia's telepathic voice entered his mind again. 'We will meet again, Chosen One.'

The Legendary Pokemon began to fade away. Kokujo looked after her. Then ran forward. "Wait, Cresselia!"

'Good luck on your adventures, Kyoshiro Kokujo,' the Pokemon replied and a light wind began to blow. The wind blew harder and harder. Then there was a bright flash of light.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

He was lying on the hard rocky floor of a cave when he awoke. Kokujo sat up and held his head—must have landed hard. He noticed six strange balls lying near by and made his way over to them. There were six of them—each a different color: Black, Dark Blue, Silver, Green, White, and Blue. He somehow knew these were his chosen for him by Cresselia. These were his Pokemon. New thoughts entered his mind—not memories, but the knowledge of a Pokemon trainer. He looked towards the six 'Pokeballs' though narrowed eyes as he called out the names of his Pokemon as if he already knew them. "Absol, Salamence, Pidgeot,
Sceptile, Weavile, and Milotic! Come out!"

The six Pokemon came out of there Pokeballs looking towards there new master. Kokujo narrowed his eyes—memories from his own world finally returning. He started laughing evilly wanting to get his new life started.

NOTES: There is the first chapter. I hope this is good. Please tell me what you think. The Pokeballs are different colors because they are new types of Pokeballs:

The black Pokeball (holding Absol) is known as a Dark Ball.
The dark blue Pokeball (holding Salamence) is known as a Draco Ball.
The silver Pokeball (holding Pidgeot) is known as an Air Ball.
The green Pokeball (holding Sceptile) is known as a Grass Ball.
The white Pokeball (holding Weavile) is known as a Freeze Ball.
The blue Pokeball (Holding Milotic) is known as a Water Ball.

This story is made for all the fans of Pokemon and Duel Masters on this site. Hope you all enjoy this.
