Pokemon the Three Plagues

You are a young boy living in the Region of Editen, which is a happy, bright place. Until one day, all of the older people in the region mysteriously vanished, leaving the entire region covered with snow and ice. A week after this dissapearence, the Elite Four and Champion of the Pokemon League come to your door and give you the news that your father died looking for the older people. They tell you that his last wish was to give you the choice of three pokemon to look after: Grimer, Koffing or Weedle. You pick one of these pokemon and decide to go around the Editen region, collecting Badges whilst looking for the older citizens of Editen. However, a ferocious 3 legendary pokemon will try to stop you as Team Icicle attempt to use the oppurtunity to take over Editen...
