The whole theme of this game would be to basically re-create the whole game of pokemon fire red. However instead of being the big "hero" you are your rival. You may be thinking *ehhh what is he on about?* well this is going to be explained.
The whole game will be pretty much the same, however i want some extras that will make it the game I always wanted it to be. You will be either Yellow or Green ( Gary ) and will only have two pokemon to choose from instead of 3, and you will have not 1 rival, not 2 but 3 rivals. rival 1 will be Red, 2 will be Blue and 3 shall be a special appearance of, well ME! - Tom *COMMENTS + IDEAS PLEASE*
These trainers will all be pretty equally matched, and will have pokemon that correspond with the Manga series, apart from yourself who can "break away" from the Manga series, or you could even follow in the foot steps of it.
Starter pokemon: A pikachu (special one with some form of difference to it)
This will be the only Starter you get, however after you have run the errand for prof Oak he will offer a trade with you :) Your special Pikachu for a (maybe Larvitar with a high rate of being shiny? And lower evolutions so you can get tyranitar early(ish) game along with new moves IE flamethrower?)*IDEAS PLEASE*
There will be a few changes in mapping here and there and quite a few tile changes to make it look a bit more slick. But yeah this is pretty much just making the game better and more interesting too play. :)
