FireRed hack: Pokemon Topaz

I was trying to create Pokemon MindCrystal as some of you know. Well I gave up because of HG/SS. -__- The tiles are available to anyone who PMs me. Well Pokemon Topaz is a remake of Emerald using FR, because the graphics are better. No this won't be an exact remake I'm going to change the maps and change the storyline around. Guys I know Pokemon Topaz is already a hack. I don't care the name is staying.

The fourth adventure to take place in the Hoenn region, Pokemon Topaz features all-new areas and exciting new plot twists. The story begins when your character, a young aspiring Pokemon Trainer, moves to Littleroot Town. Crammed amid a truckload of boxes, our hero enters the foreign neighborhood eager to explore. Shortly into your journey a challenge arises and you must choose from three Pokemon -- Torchic, Mudkip or Treecko -- and begin a quest to become the world's best Pokemon Trainer.

Play as Brandon or May.
Encounter New Friends and Rivals.
See Gold/Jimmy/Kenta/Heart or whatever you call him.
Travel to a mini-region after you beat the games. Similar to the Sevii Islands.
All new sprites.
A somewhat new storyline.

once before I knew about this site I tried making a hack called Topaz and it didn't go out so well.

Pokemon Topaz already exists ! And I think your 'Screenshots' , 'Introduction' banners etc . are from Fan King's hack .

I can't find any hack from fan king that says pokemon topaz in it. But I do see a lot of games with the title pokemon topaz and none has the banners and pictures of it. Wait unless is it on a different website?

There is actually a fully finished Team Rocket hack called pokemon Topaz. I know you know, but if you don't change it, a mod will close this thread. The maps look...almost exactly like Pallet Town...and this seems more like a resource than a hack, it's just emerald...in Firered...and the phonebooths are random, why would they be in the Hoenn region to begin with?

This is an advance version of it. I've also changed some of the tiles, so it doesn't look quite the same. The phonebooths are to replace the Pokenav's (Match Call) since it is about the same.

And I think let a mod close it the name not changing, because Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald are all birthstones, so is Topaz, and Topaz sounds better than Bloodstone or something like that. Anyway if it does get closed I would make a new one when the demo is ready.

Edit: Plus I just reread the rules, and it said nothing about naming the hack the same as someone else's, so if they do close it for that I could complain about it not being a rule!

..well, I'm not going to close the thread for having the same name as another, because that would be silly. But, in general, it's a good idea to try and use a unique name so that people don't get mixed up and all, but I'm not going to try and convince you to change it because that would be pointless as well. *shrug*

...What? The Pokegear and the Pokenav were completely different. The Pokenav didn't have a radio or a phone...so why a phonebooth? This seems more like the Pokegear.

In Emerald, the PokeNav was used to Phone people at times.

Interesting, an Emerald port to Firered... Should be quite good, if done right. But... Graphics will obviously be better - If you change them. There is nothing wrong with Emerald's graphics in hacking, as you change them anyway, if you wanted, so...
