(Work in progress)Pokemon Universe
The story take's place around 5 years after the defeat of the elite four at the hands of Red of Pallet Town. And so we begin our story, a shocking story full of misfortune, sadness, and hardships. Ash awakens from his bed and begins to run down the stairs quickly, his mother, sitting at the same table she is every morning yells. Ash! Breakfeast has been ready for over an hour, sit down and eat. Anything mom? Ash asks with a look of hope on his face, his mother nods her head silently, avoiding eye contact with her son. I'ts been 5 years mom....where could he be, do you think the rumors are true? I...I...I just dont know Ash, they cant be true mom they just cant! Ash storms out of the house running as fast as he can, Ash come back! His mother calls. I cant I just cant accept the possibility that red is dead...my brother, my teacher, my best friend, I refuse to believe it Ash mutters to himself. It has been 5 years since the dissaprance of Red, Pallet Town is Amiss, no one has any clue what happened to red. Last anyone heard of him was that he had defeated Team Rocket and taken down the Elite Four, since then he has been missing and not heard from in 5 years. Ash, his little brother is taking it quite hard, having trouble sleeping communicating with anyone, he just seems, well, restless. Ash finally stopped running and sat down and began to cry, remembering all the good times he had with his older brother, the one who taught him everything that he knew about pokemon. Ash's dad was killed in the horrific Pokemon war when Ash was just 6 years old, Red himself was only 11 at the time and wanting to fight alongside his father, was told no. Not very many people that went to war survived, the war itself was a battle of good and evil, trainers who loved their pokemon, and then trainers who used their pokemon for malpractice. The war was waged for a sum of at least a year, many father's dying..but in the end victory was one for the kind hearted, they managed to push back the darkness of the opposing trainers....at least for now. This was all Ash had playing in his mind over and over everyday, his father, dead his brother, presumed dead, his whole world was crumbling and he didn't know what to do.
Ash finally stopped crying and collected himself, he ran home quickly dodging everything in his path, he needed to talk to his mom. Ash bursted through the door to his home in Pallet Town, Mom! He shouted, yes ash? She said as she came down the stairs, there is something I need to talk to you about. What is it dear she said with a smile. well I want to start my journey...just like Red. Ash's mothers cheerful smile quickly turned to a frown, no I cant let you go.... I just can't. Mom I know you are worried, and for that I can't blame you..but this is something I have to do... I have to know what happened to Red, he would do the same for me. I know he would sweetie....but I can't lose you! I've already lost you're father and you're brother! Please Ash! This is just something I have to do Mom...i love you and I promise I will find Red and bring him home! I know he is out there, I just know it Ash said with confidence. Ash's mother turned to him and looked him in the eye's, she noticed the determination in his face, the confidence in his eyes, something inside of her told her to let him go. Ash just promise me one thing his mother said, forcing a smile upon her face, just promise me you will come home Ash....please promise me that? Mom I promise you I will make it home, and I will bring Red with me. Ok honey, you can go just be careful on this journey and make sure to stay in contact with me as much as possible Ash's mom said as a tear rolled down her cheek. Are you okay mom? Ash said hesitantly. Yes im fine honey! It's just you are so much like you're brother and father, that same look of determination and passion, enjoy you're journey and make the best of it. Ash smiled at his mother grabbed his coat and hat, and took off out the door, it was just him and his trusty Pokemon that his father had given him before he passed away.
Ash's First stop was going to be Pewter city, of course he has to travel through the viridan forest first. Ok let's do this Sideon, that's the nickname Ash had given to his Wartortle back when he was a child. First stop, Virdian city he said so loudly that it scared a few nearby pokemon away. We are going to visit every city from here to the pokemon league Sideon, Ash said with confidence, catching more pokemon, meeting friends, and battling other trainers and maybe one day when we are strong enough challenge the Elite four! I'll bet the elite four know's what happened to Red, they are the last ones that saw him now that I think about it, Sideon nods as if he understands every world Ash utters. Well before we even think about battling anyone we are going to need to stop by the pokemart and get some pokeballs, potions, and other essential items for this journey. It wasn't long before Ash arrived in Viridan City, Hey were here Sideon! Ash yelled at the top of his lungs with nothing but excitement. I cant believe it, it's so much bigger than Pallet Town! Isn't it Sideon? Well first let's stop by that pokemart Ash said hurridly. Welcome to the Viridan city pokemart, the man behind the counter said with a cheerful smile. What can I do ya for? Yes! I need some pokeballs and potions, Ash said in a hurry. Slow down young man, you look like you are in a bit of a hurry is everything ok? The clerk said in a worried tone. My name is Ash from Pallet town.......after Ash mentioned who he was the store got dead silent. Ash you said? The clerk looked at Ash as if hoping he had heard the wrong name. Yes? Ash said with a puzzled look on his face. So you must be....Red's brother then? Yes, but how did you know that, Ash said. You're brother used to stop by here all the time, the dangerous cave that leads to the Elite four is on the other side of town, so he stopped by here a lot. Until one day he just stopped coming at first nobody thought anything of it, but then days turned to weeks, weeks to months, months to years.....until he just never came back. Ash was getting more worried as the clerk continued to explain the story to him. Yes nobody knows what happens, most speculate that he has, the clerk stopped as if hesitant to say the next word about to spill from his lips. DEAD, he said in a hushed tone, this was not what Ash wanted to hear, his head sunk down a little, but we dont know if he's dead Ash said trying to get his hopes back up. You're absolutely right the clerk said, trying to brighten the mood a little bit, see I just know who you are because you're brother used to talk about you all the time, how amazing of a trainer you were with very little experience. Ash began to light back up to his normal self, anyways Ash the clerk said, here are your pokeballs and potions. Thanks Ash said as he turned to walk out and back into the unknown. One more thing Ash said the clerk, Ash turned around to face the clerk. Make you're way to pewter city, the Gym leader Brock was pretty good friends with Red if anyone knows anything im sure it's him, goodluck on your journey! And dont forget to visit! I'll make sure I do Ash said as he smiled and left the store.
