    *You start out in the present-day which is hard to describe since pokemon is timeless. your character never was previously interested in pokemon. In fact, he/she is afraid of them! I know! OMFG!!! A cute pokemon! Charzard, mabye. A hoppip, not a chance! But your character is just walking on down down through the forest when he sees a pokemon weakly floating in the air and it falls down. Naturally, he is afraid of pokemon, but rather reluctently, he picks the pokemon up to bring it home as his grandma is an herb specialist. She is soon able to create a drug in the shape of a stone that heals the pokemon as no potion or full heal would work. She calls it the GigaStone. A few days later the pokemon is almost back to normal when a group of three men walk through the front door demanding the pokemon back. They claim to be Team Rocket, the legendary criminal contraband and theft force. You, knowing nothing of team rocket do not know the danger they pose. But the mystical pokemon does. With an almighty gust of wind you are blinded from the wind in your eyes. When you look out from inside your arms, the house is gone, and you are alone with the mysterious pokemon.
    *This is the Main Plot for my version Pokemon Vortex.

    Tracker agaain...sory for being off... not that anyone actually reads the thread. got caught up in other stuff. grounded from computer untill christmas though i am drawing the characters and maps to get ready for when i can work on it. i will try to make this the biggest map ever seen by at least me. im thinking a lot of maps being expanded to burst point. EXTREMELY large maps such as a city being large as cerulean/saffron/Vermillion? area. trying to think of ideas for a main character sprite and pokemon sprite.....

    Preparing to fail much? The only person to even attempt maps of that size is CA, and he has a rather large team. Try to start with a lot more of the little stuff before you go crazy.
    P.S. For crying out loud, don't double post just to get attention. Your project died once, what makes you think it will start up again?

She is soon able to create a drug in the shape of a stone ...a pill containing some chemical extracted from some plant? that heals the pokemon as no potion or full heal would work I don't buy one bit of that...if the affliction was THAT bad, this would be a little more tragic, and no old woman would be able to do anything about it.... She calls it the GigaStone .... A few days later the pokemon is almost back to normal when a group of three men Evil organisation?! Too bad... walk through the front door demanding the pokemon back ...then give it back to them.. They claim to be Team Rocket ...so they may not be TR?, the legendary criminal contraband and theft force. You, knowing nothing of team rocket do not know the danger they pose. But the mystical pokemon does ...so it's not a Hoppip but a legend. Great.... With an almighty gust of wind you are blinded from the wind in your eyes. Sevault Canyon is a really frustrating route.... im thinking a lot of maps being expanded to burst point You're assuming our RAMs can handle your innovativeness..     K - Mr.Negative- i realize no one is interested in this and that was only my second post. I was appologizing for being off for so long to people who dont care to comment. Even if no one liked the idea they could at least post constructive criticism like Mr.Postitive. I guess that isnt what the DEVELOPEMENT space is for [EXTREME SARCASM (in case you didnt know)].
    K-Mr.So-much-more-positive-and-constructive-thank you for critiqueing my idea, this is the plot and story idea space.(hint,hint)...caugh. here are some responses:
    1.when i said timeless i meant like time era, you know,certain year, if the pokemon world even has the same amount of days per year. There are futuristic cities and then an old mansion and that guy walking around in a samurai uniform that is one of ash's many rivals from the show.
    2.mabye the character could be interested in traveling the world and seeing the edge of the world (just a metaphor). It might be handy that his first pokemon can travel anywhere.
    3.Mabye he goes to a pokemon center and the perscription drug is just an updated version of the medicine from cainewood that you get to help the lighthouse pokemon in silver. The stuff was probably mass produced to boost pp for a short amount of time and costs a lot. The pokemon was severely depleted of energy and at the point of exhaustion. It needs more pp than it has normally to use its vortex move (still working on a better name for the move.).
    4.Mabye the people are a small time group that wants Team Rocket the ones the police will chase after.
    INSTEAD OF THE MYSTICAL GUST OF WIND THEORY.....
    5.You have the option. If you do you have to try and find their hideout in the forest near you to steal it back. They wont notice you until you have it. If you dont you must battle them on the spot to keep it. If you lose the battle you must go to their hideout and reclaim your soon-to-be pokemon. The first battle is just to present the chance to not have to go through the whole other option.

    but i dont need help on this version at the moment check out Pokemon: Runes of Ascension, my new idea. ill save Vortex for later! I will need spriters and mappers and scripters, oh my!
    and Saiyan2020 is my friend i just got on PC and he did that to be a fool, so...
