Pokemon XD trade

I have pokemon XD and I want to trade pokemon over to Leaf Green. (I am assuming you can do it, if not I will use ruby) The only catch is this... I have a wii and a DS lite. I know the wii should be able to act just like the gamecube. But can I use the wireless in the systems to connect to the DS Lite? Or do i need to get a GBA and Gamecube wire to do this?

You need the GBA and cord. Scout for a cheap old version of GBA and the cord at your local gamestore. My cousin gave me her's.
