1st Gen Pokemon Yellow GameBoy Intro error

    I found my Pokemon Yellow the other day in the basement, and I'm now having a really hard time getting it to work... The intro part where it says the gameboy logo thing gets glitched up where it says Nintendo I had this problem, cleaned the cartridge slot (where the game connects to the gameboy) and cleaned my SP out but still brings the error.... Anyone know how to fix it? (I really want to keep my save file, I had a level 100 Pikachu that knew surf...) Anways can someone tell me how to fix it? (Note this is an actual gameboy game not a rom.)
