Prolouge​

It was 1997, in a small hospital in Sunshine City. A mother and father are with their new born child. A doctor walks in the room, "How are you?" he asked the mother. "I'm just fine," she replied. The baby reached out to his mother as she grabbed his hand. "Do we have a name for him?" the doctor asked. "Kyle," the father said as he stood up.

A few months later
The mother and father where at the same hospital at bedside of another women. "What are you going to name him?" the mother asked the the womens husband. "Dakota," he said with a smile on his face. The mothers sat down beside each other both holding their children. The babies looked at each other for a moment then reached out for each other. "They're ging to be the best of friends," The other mother said with great joy.

An elderly man entered the room. "Valorie, Jennifer, Michael, Paul," the man said. Mike and Jen where Kyle's parents and Paul and Val where Dakota's. "Prof Spruce," Paul said in a suprised tone. "Are these two them," he asked. "Yes," Jen and Val said at the same time. At that moment, everything got dark. "Rydon, Brick Breack!" a trainer exclaimed. The wall shattered. "Empoleon, lets go," Mike said, "Hydro Cannon!" The Rydon took a heavy hit. Another trainer ran to the Rydons aid. "Golem, use Rollout!" The other trainer called. Empoleon was knocked out the window. "Grab the babies and let's get out of here," one of the trainers called to the other. He ran thre the deep smoke, snatched the babies and dissapired.

As the smoke cleared. Both the mothers where crying. "Their gone, they've been taken," Jen screamed as tears ran down hear face. "We must find them," the Prof said. "They are as I predicted, The Chosen Ones."​

Chapter 1​

Escape from Team Ore​

13 Years Later​

There they where, the chosen ones. Dakota and Kyle where both asleep on a cold, black, dirty brick floor. There where Golems patrolling around their six by six foot cell. Suddenly, Kyle awoke. His shaggy brown hair full of dirt and his clothes tattered. "Dakota… Dakota wake up," Kyle whispered. Dakota's eyes opened. His short brown hair messed up and his clothes ripped. "Kyle, what is it," Dakota said as he yawned. "The Golem, he dropped his key," Kyle explained. "I'm going to try and get it." Dakota looked puzzled. "Why would you even try that, the key is in the middle of the hall. If you try to reach it, you could be seen," Dakota explained. "Trust me, I know what I'm doing," Kyle said.

Kyle moved closer to the cell door. The key was just out of his reach. "I can't reach it," Kyle said. "Force your head threw the bars so you have more reach," Dakota suggested. Kyle poked his head threw the bars. The reached out for the key and grabbed it. "Yes, I got it," Kyle exclaimed in a whisper voice. Kyle unlocked the door and the two of them ran for the exit. Just as they made it to the door, the Golem saw them. "RUN!" Dakota yelled. They ran down the corridors, making every turn they could. "Quick, in here," Kyle exclaimed.

The two of them found themselves inside a room full of empty Pokeballs. "Look at all these Pokeballs," Kyle said in amazement. "Grab six of them," Dakota said. Kyle gave Dakota a confused look. "Why," Kyle asked. "Don't you ever listen to the guards; you can hold up to six Pokemon at once. I was thinking after we escape, we can take the Pokemon Gym challenge," Dakota explained. "That sounds great," Kyle replied. Dakota pointed to a window. "We'll go out that way," Dakota told Kyle. Both of them open the window and jumped out.

The two boys looked up. "Where are we?" Dakota asked. Kyle looked around and saw a sign. "Two kilometres outside of Moonlight Town," Kyle answered. Dakota pointed towards a tower. "We should start walking then," Dakota explained. They started to walk towards a road. When they reached the road, a man in a car stopped beside them. "Are you two alright?" the man asked. Dakota looked up and said, "Please sir, we need your help, we where kidnapped by Team Ore. We escaped just ten minutes ago and they're after us." The man looked Dakota in the eye. 'Alright boys, get in," he said.

Chapter 2​

Entering Moonlight Town​

As they drove down the road, Kyle looked out the window in amazement. "So, you two where kidnapped by Team Ore?" the man asked. "Yes, we where there every since I can remember," Dakota explained. "Anyway, I'm Paul," he added. "I'm Dakota and this is…" Dakota said before he was interrupted by Paul. "You said your name is Dakota?" Paul asked. "Yes," Dakota answered. Paul started to cry. "Dakota, I'm your father," he said as he was choked up. "You're, you're my father," Dakota replied. Dakota started to cry. "I, I have a dad," Dakota said with a smile. "What about Kyle, where are his parents?" Dakota asked. Paul looked up, "Wait, you're Kyle. They live right next door to us," Paul answered. Kyle started to cry. "I have parents," Kyle said excitedly.

Paul drove into his driveway. Two little kids, a girl, a younger boy and a woman ran out to give him a hug. "Hi dad," the little boy said. "Everyone, I found two people we've been looking for," Paul said. "Who," the women asked. Paul started to cry again. "I found Dakota and Kyle," he answered. Dakota stepped out of the car. "Oh My, Dakota… Dakota is that really you?" the woman asked. "Its true mom, I'm home," he said. They all ran over to him to give him a hug. "We've missed you so much," Val said. Kyle stepped out of the car; he walked over to the house next door to Dakota's. He knocked on the door. A woman answered the door. "Hello," she said. Val turned to her. "Jen, that's your son. Say hello to Kyle," she explained. She started to cry. "Mike, Ryan come quickly, Paul found Kyle," she called. The two of them didn't say a word. They just ran over and gave Kyle a hug. "Welcome home Kyle," his younger brother Ryan said. "I'm glad to be home," Kyle replied.

"Kyle, we're home, we have families, we're free," Dakota said excitedly. "It's great but what about our dream of becoming Pokemon Trainers," Kyle replied. "We said that's what we would do if we ever got out." Just as Kyle finished speaking, Paul walked over to them. "Hey you two, why don't we get you two ready," he said. Dakota and Kyle looked at him with blank expressions. "Get ready for what dad?" Dakota asked. "Well, both of you are thirteen now, you can get your first Pokemon," Paul explained. Kyle and Dakota looked at each other as excitement ran threw their veins. "Ryan and Mikayla are getting their first Pokemon too, so maybe you could all travel together," Paul suggested.

Kyle and Ryan walked down stairs and met Dakota and Mikalya at the front door. Kyle was dressed in a purple and black jacket with black jeans and a black hat. Dakota had blue jeans and a lime green shirt. Ryan was wearing a red jacket, black hat and grey jeans. Mikayla was dressed in a black skirt and pink jacket. "Are you four all ready," Paul asked. "I think so," Mikalya said. "Mikalya, I have something for you," Jen said. "I bought you these with your mom, her are some Pink Pokeballs," she added. "Thank you," Mikalya said. "Good luck on your journey," Mike said as the kids walked up the road. "Dakota, we're living the dream," Kyle said.

Chapter 3​

The Journey Begins​

"Kyle, Dakota, follow us, we know where to go," Ryan said. Mikalya and Ryan walked about two metres ahead of Kyle and Dakota. "This is awesome, we finally get our first Pokemon," Dakota said to Kyle. "It is really great," Kyle replied. The four of them walked up a steep hill. After about ten minutes, they reached Prof Spruces Lab. There where about 150 trainers waiting to get their Pokemon. One of Prof Spruce's assistances spoke to the crowd. "All thirteen year olds please enter the lab to receive your first Pokemon," he said. "We'll meet you guys at the beginning of Route 1," Kyle said.

Kyle, Dakota and about 50 others entered the lab. There where 15 kinds of Pokemon. They where Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Chikorita, Torchic, Mudkip, Treecko, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Snivy, Tepig and Oshwawott. "What should we choose," Dakota wondered. Prof Spruce walked over to Kyle and Dakota. "Hello, who might you two be," he asked. "I'm Dakota and this is Kyle," Dakota explained. "Are you really," he asked. "Yes we are," Kyle added. "Listen you two, after you choose your Pokemon, meet me in my office," he explained.

Kyle went to the fire starter's area with Dakota. Kyle went to the Torchic area. Kyle was in the Torchic line behind a boy who was large and tall. He looked about 200 pounds and about 5'9. He picked up a Pokeball and opened it. The Torchic looked up terrified. It ran to Kyle and hugged his legs tightly. "Hey, I was going to choose that Torchic," the boy said. "Don't scare this little thing," Kyle protested. "I'll be back for you," the boy exclaimed. I looked down to still see the Torchic hugging my legs. "Hey, little buddy. Do you want to come with me?" Kyle asked the Torchic. "Torchic-Tor," he said as he shook his head. "Alright then, Torchic return," I called.

Kyle walked into Prof Spruce's office. "Kyle, I was there the night you two where taken. I saw Team Ore take you and I wanted to apologize," he said. Suddenly, Dakota walked in. "Now that you're both here, I want to give you something," Prof Spruce started. "Here you go you two. Dakota, a Dusk Stone and Kyle, a Dawn Stone," he said as he handed us the items. "Thank you," we said. "Also, I wanted to give you these PokeGears. They're very useful. They can make phone calls, get radio and has a map of the region," he explained. "Good luck on your journey," Prof Spruce said. We started to walk out when Prof Spruce stopped us. "Boys, could you also escort my granddaughter to Sunshine City. I'm very nervous about her going alone. She wants to be a coordinator and her first contest is there," He explained. "You got it Prof," Kyle replied as they walked out the door.

Kyle and Dakota made there way out the door and walked towards Route 1. "So our journey begins soon. I'm so excited," Kyle said. "So Dakota, who did you pick?" Kyle asked. Dakota took out a Pokeball. "I chose Charmander, how about you?" Dakota said. "Torchic, I'll bring him out," Kyle replied. Both of them popped there Pokemon out of there Pokeballs. "Hey, you," a boy called. It was that large boy who scared the Torchic. "We're going to battle right now," He exclaimed. Torchic stepped forward. "Bring it big boy!" Kyle exclaimed.
