    this is probably a stupid question and has a easy way around it but how do find out how high a pokemons happiness is??
     
    There's a friendship checker app.
    It's where all the pokemon are crazily "floating" around the screen.
    Hold the stylus on one of the pokemon andif it grows to big hearts then it likes you, if it doesn't display anyhearts then it dosn't like you, the size of the hearts depends on how much it ikes you basically...
     
    In GSC the only way to tell is either by evolution (If Eevee or Golbat are happy enough, they'll evolve for example), or there's a woman in Goldenrod who will tell you how much your Pokémon like you. Though sadly I don't have a list of the phrases she uses depending on happiness.

    Back in Gen I you only had Pikachu to worry about lol, and you could tell how happy it was simply by speaking to it.
