Do you think (some) Pokemon's voices sound better in the Japanese version than the American (dub)?

I personally prefer Pokemon that don't constantly repeat their name, such as Onix.

Which Pokemon sound the best in your opinion (whether they repeat their name or not)?

One of my favorites was Voltorb, until it was ruined when it appeared in Hoenn.

Doesn't Onix repeat its Japanese name?

I prefer it when they don't annoy me by constantly saying the ir name. Not to mention it makes it more realistic.

I love the Japanese voice of Meowth... but Maddie was great too.

I like the english voices better. I would say japanese but i dont understand what they are saying so i dont know if they are very good at what they are doing :\

It depends on the Pokemon, really. But Staraptor's American voice makes me cringe every time I hear it.

I like the English voices even though it can get a little bit of annoying sometimes.
But Japanese does sounds better ^^ & I like Mime Jr.'s voice for some reason, its simply cute xDD

I like the japenese voice of Meowth on DP
and Piplups voice also it sounded like a girl which is so cute!

Hmm. Not sure about Jap vs Eng... but 4Kids vs PokemonUSA is interesting.
I think the pokemon sound better after PokemonUSA took over, but the characters sound retarded.

For instance, Combuskin in Season 8 sounds like an angry kid who smokes to much. But in Season 9, it actually sounds like a chicken - which makes more sense.

Some Pokemon keep their Japanese voice in the English version, like Pikachu, Pachirisu, and Buizel. I think the question was about the Pokemon rather than the people, heh.
