I was thinking of just making a thread showing where to read/download PokeSpe but decided to do a FAQ page. Contribute to it by putting it in question & answer form. Hide spoilers with the spoiler tag or at least warn us of spoilers with a title.

PM me for a list of scan sites (Cuz all talk about it is prohibited. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE just trying to follow rules here) Will update page later. Since I'm doing this in the Summer School's PC. Hey hey!

    1. Where can I read Pokemon Special (Adventures)?

Officially PokeCommunity's position on this has been to prohibit scans but the threads that show where to get them are still here or here
(Do we even read the rules???!!!)

But if you live in these countries you could probably buy them or (import):
a.) USA: has printed versions of VOL. 1-6 which the current prints have in a condensed version called "The Best of Pokemon Adventures".
b.) Southeast Asia: The Chuang Yi translations from Singapore (Most scans come from here) currently Vol. 1-28
c.) Japan: If you live here or can read Japanese you're a lucky person, pick up the volumes and CoroCoro and read to your hearts content.

Also PLEASE understand that Pokemon Special (Adventures) is an ongoing series and that we are lucky that Chuang Yi is translating it at this speed and that we are actually getting scans! (Also understand that some fans are NOT RICH we can't pay for those S&H fees cuz were NOT even working YET!!!! Even if I'm back in the Phillies I would barely be able to buy it!)

    2. What is Pokemon Adventures?

It is the Official English name for Pokemon Special but fans use the name interchangeably.

    3. The Names of Green and Blue. I'll just quote this out.
    Hi, it's me again. :3

In the Japanese manga, Green is the boy and Blue is the girl. In the American version, Blue is the boy and Green is the girl. I don't know what it is in other countries.

I think that's because of the whole video game-related thing. Because in America, the Red and Blue versions were released together, but in Japan, it was the Red and Green version. Then the Blue version was released third. However, in America, the Green version didn't even see the light of day.

So I guess Viz decided to make Red's rival Blue after the American video game counter parts, and Green would be the girl because she played a minor role in the R/G/B arc, much like the Green version in America.

-cough- I'm not sure if that made sense. -.-; I can really lecture at times. x.x

As for Yellow's hat, it depends where you get the volumes from. In The Best of Yellow, they never even reveal that Yellow is female. o__o

the third point was helpful for me, i'll explain that:

i'm a fan of the hoenn chapter, and those were the only volumes that i readed.
then i decided to also read the other volumes (started yesterday, rofl).
red meeted a boy called blue, and then i became confused...
a lot of ppl like the part where 'gold pats blue on the butt'
i readed that part and i saw gold patting blue on the butt, so then i asked myself:
huh??! how is this? now who is blue and who is green??!
but now i know that the girl is blue, but i'll read it the opposite!
no confusing for me about that anymore, thanks man! ^-^
