    I found out last time that I shouldn't voice my opinion of pokemon, but rather what everyone else thinks my pokemon should have, so I have decided to go anarcist. Check it!!!

    Um...okay. May I recommend HP Electric for type coverage on it? Psychic doesn't do all too much...and I wouldn't take the "can't voice my view on PKMN" thing too seriously. Forgive and forget...also, it can belly drum, but poliwrath is much better at that...

    Well, I don't blame you about HP...but I would use something other than psychic. Maybe HP *anything with high power and decent type coverage* That saves you more time than you'd think.
     
    Yeah, sub is a good option too. I still say HP could work, regarless of the type, as long as it isn't like, poison.
     
    Well, I honestly hate HP but when I'm iv breeding, if I happen to get something other than ice, water, phychic, poison, or normal with 60+ power, I'll use it.
     
    If you had HP dragon you would hit everything except empoleon I believe.
     
    a good, effective Politoed set:

    Politoed @ Wide Lens
    Bold Nature
    Ability: Damp/Water Absorb
    252 HP/160 DEF/44 SP DEF/52 SP ATK
    -Hydro Pump
    -Ice Beam
    -Hypnosis
    -Substitute

    set a sub after scaring a foe away, set sub, and set to sleep. hydro pump is preferred because wide lens boosts its accuracy. damp or water absorb are equally good on politoed. it really depends on what is more of a threat to your team.

    i use politoed myself, and i love it.
     
    i think you're failing to recognize that politoed is too slow to pull haze off. the only time where haze would be effective on politoed is if you're up against a CM Suicune and a CurseLax. otherwise, by the time politoed makes its way into battle, it won't be able to take a hit, use haze, then survive the following moves. it CAN however, come in, take a hit, and KO the threat or maybe even scare them away.
     
    Unless of course, he packed it with like, Max HP, and some defenses with a Bold Nature.
    But then again, I think retarded thoughts, so don't mind me too much
     
    Thing is Samson, I don't care what you think. I might actually try what you said though Iceman, defense him up and then use him as my hazer.
     
    ~Kazaam~, just saying you don't care about Samson's opinion is rather rude and instead of saying that, you could tell him why you don't want to use the set he provided. You seem to be under the impression that you're somehow above Samson and if you don't stop acting like you are, I'm sure a warning will fix your attitude.

    As for the set itself, a Hazing Politoed wants to go defensive, in which case you'll want something like:

    Politoed @ Leftovers
    Ability: Water Absorb
    Calm Nature
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpDef / 4 SpAtk

    - Hypnosis
    - Haze
    - Rest/Ice Beam/Surf/Hydro Pump/Focus Blast
    - Rest/Ice Beam/Surf/Hydro Pump/Focus Blast

    A Hazer is usually a Pokémon that can take a hit or two in which case most EVs should be invested in defensive stats. In Politoed's case you won't be able to do any real damage without sacrificing a whole lot of tanking capability, which is why a defensive Politoed should have all its EVs in Special Defense and HP.

    Samson's only trying to help, just like I, and everyone else is. Now, you don't have to take his advice if you don't want to, but you also do not have to say you don't care what he thinks publically in an effort to anger him.

    Anyways, I think I might try the high defense and just haze myself out of any stat changes.

    Wait, what? If it's mullet you're talking about, PM me please...I've actually gotten better since our rumble in the jungle a month or so back...I'm not so stupid anymore. But yeah, I just have to say I would post a moveset, but it seems now you are just neglecting our ideas. While I rarely take sides, I'm with Iceman and Samson on this one. Why make a thread if you won't even listen at all?
