Hello guys ! I came here to showcase a very old project which was born in 2004 initially as a joke within the IRC community of the french website Pokélord (known as Pokémon-France since 2006). Initially a joke, we decided to make a real website out of it and create a fake parody Pokemon soluce. And so was born Pomon Roze! The soluce has been an incredible hit on the french Pokemon community at the time being, with over 450 000 visits a year. To this day, it is still very common to hear the veterans of the french Pokemon community referring to "Pomon" instead of Pokémon, because of Pomon Roze.
Pomon Roze is a fake parody soluce counting over 740 fake screenshots of Pokemon FR/LG. And after almost 20 years, I haven't heard of any similar project (besides this japanese website that was fake spriting the whole Pokemon anime but I can't seem to find it anymore, it's been 20 years...). Eventhough the soluce is in french, I thought it would be interesting to share a 20 years old project that was quite a hit in the french community back in the days.
The story starts the same as FR/LG, the plot twist being that the infamous Pikadil with an army of Luvdisc took over the region of Kanto. Our hero, Wink, will have to become a Pomon master to defeat Pikadil's army and its lieutenants, the "Mystery Pomon" which are Luvdisc with special powers. In doing so, Wink will have to fight the Team Tappet and will meet the mysterious gods of the Pomon world...
