Porygon Episode

Ok so heres the deal: Sorry if this has been posted before but oh well. I was reccentley looking for episodes of pokemon on youtube as hardley anyone ever seeds the pokemon torrents and I found this strange Episode. It was outlawed in the UK and USA as it caused over 700 kids to spazz out!! I watched the episode and nothing happened to me but people have left comments on the youtube message funcation saying that they got headaces from watching it! If you wanna see this just search Porygon on youtube. Its actually a very good episode even thhough it has subs :)

There is a big difference between watching it on youtube and watching it on tv. A tv broadcast has a much higher framerate (around 30 frames, I believe), while a youtube video are mostly a lot lower (around 15 frames). The amount of flicker between green en red in that episode are much higher on a tv broadcast and has a bigger chance of causing seizure.

I've seen the episode myself too as a high quality encode and didn't had any trouble (though I find that flickering highly anoying).

Even though the chances area bit lower, I do need to stress out that the Porygon episode can possible cause seizure and watching it is absolutely at own risk.

But indeed, asside from all this, the story in this episode is quite nice.

I saw this, too. It's a cool episode, although a bit stretched plot. It's unlike those of the rest of Kanto. The reason there were seizures is because of the way the TV rooms in Japan were set up.

No it is because the size of their televisions. Small comp screens/televisions dont generate enough waves through their small amount of frames to cause seizures. As you should know, alot of people in Japan have huge TV`s, which`ll cause extreme spazzes.

I dont see why it was it was banned, couldn't a few seconds just be cut out? :\

I know the kids had siezures, but why ruin it for the rest of us?
