Issue: posting a visitor message on someone's profile issue

it seems like I cannot paste text into the text box when I am posting a visitor message on someone's profile, the paste option is not available, and it forces me to hit ctrl+v in order to paste, like if I am quoting something they said, then responding, I want to paste the quote code, but there is no paste option, the only way I can do it is, by hitting ctrl+V... works everywhere else on here but on people's profile, I am forced to hit ctrl+v

Because it doesn't work like that. It only works like that when you post in a thread. You have to copy/paste to a VM because the thread quote system does not copy it to a universal clipboard, just to a thread response clipboard.

It's hard to explain, but basically, you must copy/paste to a VM because it simply will not work.

I think he means that he just can't right-click Paste, and can only use the keyboard shortcut, which is a bit more of a hassle.

Is that the issue?

yes, that is what I'm talking about... the right click paste option isn't available

Did you left click on the text box first, before you right clicked? That's all I can think of because I have no problem using the right-click paste option.

yes I did left click on the box, but the paste option is unavailable... it's available in regular topic posts, just not profile posts... Just tested it in here, and in profiles... it allowed in this post but not in profile messages
