In RPG Maker how do you postion characters?

Well when I try to test it it says I need to choose the character postion

Do you mean character starting point?

If yes, then you simply right click on the map where you want the character to start at, and chose the "set party start position" option.

Also, this should be in the help/request thread, post there next time you need help.
