Potential Gen 2 Eggs

Basically, a user on Reddit noticed some patterns in what Pokemon could hatch from 2km, 5km, and 10km eggs and how that related to footsteps in the original games.

If Niantic doesn't change the pattern before releasing Gen 2 (and I think that's a big if) then the article shows which Pokemon will hatch from which eggs.

With the inclusion of Tyrogue and baby pokemon I think this will go a little differently, but it could be close to this nonetheless.

My wife had an idea I really liked where Niantic will give us the option to discard eggs we don't want and Gen 1 and Gen 2 eggs will each get their separate color-coding so you can know what you've got and discard what you don't want.

Hope they do something like that...

I would just love the option to discard eggs, my bag is filled with 2ks and 5ks atm since I hatched all my 10ks but the only Pokemon I need now are from 10ks
