    After Restarting HG for the fifth time and downloading Mew, here's my planned team. I'm planning on getting all of them up to LV55 before facing the E4 for the first time.

    Typhlosion
    - Flamethrower
    - Lava Plume
    - Swift
    - Focus Blast

    Mew
    - Psychic
    - Ice Beam
    - Flamethrower
    - Surf

    Raikou
    - Thunderbolt
    - Calm Mind
    - Shadow Ball
    - Thunder Wave

    Gyarados
    - Waterfall
    - Ice Fang
    - Dragon Dance
    - Stone Edge

    Dragonite
    - Earthquake
    - Dragon Claw
    - Dragon Dance
    - Roost

    Any pokemon is fine for the elite 4 as long as it's level is high enough.

    Mew's ice beam and gyarados's ice fang will deal with the majority of lance's pokemon. Get raikou to use thunderbolt on his gyarados and have your gyarados use waterfall to deal with his charizard.

    For karen get a fighting type, like machamp, in your final slot. Use moves like close combat until they have absolutely now pp left!

    For bruno, get mew to use psychic repeatedly.

    Use ground and psychic against Koga (Keep mew at high health and pp at all times, you're gonna need it alot)

    For will, use gyarados's bite, raikou's crunch and mew's shadow ball(I wouldn't actually recommend it, because you need mew a lot later on)

    But, basically, anything can defeat the elite four if it is at a high enough level.

    Yep, I know that. I just wanted input.

    I altered the team a little. Mew's set now covers 12/16 types for Super-Effective damage. Dragonite's Extremespeed was replaced with Earthquake, which is just too awesome a move not to include. Raikou's moveset changed to include Calm Mind, Thunder Wave, and Shadow Ball. And I added Focus Blast and Stone Edge to Typhlosion and Gyarados respectivly.

    FYI, my final slot is for my HM slave, Sandshrew.
