    How much does it cost to preorder Diamond/Pearl? Also, how does it work?
     
    You can preorder D/P at EB games for like 35 dollars, I think. And what do you mean by how does it work?
     
    Well yeah basically you reserve the game for like 5 bucks I think, and then when the games hit the stores they'll hold a copy for you.
     
    Well, cause my parents are looking for a small gift to get me, and I'm thinking about asking for them to preorder Diamond and buy Fire Red since it's el cheapo now.

    Well just ask them, since they'll know a lot more than me obviously since there the ones supplying the game.
     
    When you pre-order a game, you usually put down something like $5, or pay it all in advance. You put the money down and they will hold onto a copy and not sell it, so that you are sure to be able to buy it on the day it comes out. You then pay the full price - the price you put down, so it comes out to be normal price, you just paid a little bit in advance.
     
    I chose to just pay off the entire cost of the game when I pre-ordered it. Saves me the trouble of squaring away the rest of the money.
     
    I preordered by spending $5 at my EB Games store. I'm pretty sure that's how it works for most EB games you either pay 5 or the whole price then. It depends on what you want to do.

    Now I wish I had paid the whole price because I have the money stored away in a desk drawer and I'm itching to go out and spend it. XD
     
    Well, the truth is you can put into the pre-order any amount, not just $5 or all of it. Some people may be short a few bucks when placing the order.
