4th Gen Preorders Selling Out in Your Area?

    Are preorders for these games selling out in your area? For some odd reason, it's hard to find a place that'll let you actually preorder in my area due to so many people apparently doing so, even this early on in preordering. So I'm curious to find if this is a national (possibly international?) trend, and if people are excited for it; or, possibly, if my area is just full of Pokemaniacs/insane rich people who will buy ten to eighty copies of this game.
     
    i doubt it, but i could be wrong. i haven't checked myself. i'm not going to preorder until i see local game stores with signs for security.
     
    I doubt there are many people pokemoning in my area but mullet and my 2 friends at school, mullet most likely wont get it, and I know Im getting it and my 2 friends so at least I have someone to battle...
     
    Last year when I went to preorder XD and 7 different stores were out of preorder stuff so we then had to go to gamestop and found one.

    My friend was complaining no matter where he goes they are out of preorders for D/P.

    wow you couldn't be more wrong. i go to a music forum board where all of the topics about music are just about dead. the only threads that usually make it past the 3rd page are those about pokemon, which shows to prove a lot. the same thing for a yugioh forum board i go to.

    pokemon is a big thing man...
     
    Hehe, I don't have to pre-order my copy of Pearl. I got mine in a department store. :P (lives in Asia)
     
    I didn't even know stores were taking preorders yet. I better get that taken care of.
     
    I doubt that pre-orders, for that matter the actual shelves will run out of the games that fast, because there aren't too many fans where I live. I'll just have to wait for the shops to get them. They got KH2 about a month after the official Europe release.

    ...or maybe I'll just buy it from somewhere else. By then I'm most likely sick of waiting, like in the case of KH.
     
    Im gonna have to check the preorder book at gamestop next time im at the mall, so the pre order prize thing is a pokemon stylus? anyone got pics?
     
    I'll look into the pre-ordering details when I go shopping on Thursday. If GameStop actually has pre-ordering already in my area, then I'm sure as hell making my pre-order for BOTH copies.

    Same with me, I can't wait...
     
    The closest stores don't do preorders, unfortunately. They just put them on the shelves, and I'm too lazy to ask when shipments are in so I can grab a copy before everyone else does and I'm out of luck... AGAIN. ¬¬;

    The only place I could do a preorder is online, most like Amazon since that's where we do all of our online shopping. And after a quick look, it doesn't look like they have preorders set up yet. That's good; I want to have some money before I do a preorder. XD;; *is really broke right now*
     
    America get it before us (UK), so I think I might just preorder it from America, if it's okay with you guys.. XD
    Heh, I really really don't think I could wait a few couple of months, I'd pay an extra £50 probably to get it before a lot of the UK. xD
     
    I feel sorry for the people in the uk, i know how hard it has been for me to wait this long, and the game isnt even out yet, we still have 3 months, 6 days, 12 hours, 42 mins, 21 seconds (its 2:17pm here) i cant imagine waiting any longer, i would die, im GONNA die if they delay the release of D/P here in america
