It's possible I just don't remember correctly, because I haven't played my FireRed in about a year, and then it was just to improve my mad skillz at the slots. But I, perhaps like some others, am having issues with Bad Eggs.
I have unfortunately Sharked my FireRed in the past, which was a huge mistake seeing as it was my first video game ever. I cherish it, and that's why my Emerald is shot to hell instead, but I digress. Anyway, according to Bulbapedia, I can get bad eggs either by using an instant Day Care egg code or an instant Day Care level code - both of which I used in a stupid endeavor in around second grade to breed a Fakemon. So now I've identified the cause.
I can remove the bad eggs, sure, I think. (Can you actually trade them off?) However, there seems to be an issue other than that: my bad eggs seem to be multiplying, not by taking over existing PC slots, but by legitimately duplicating its data to take more space; I proved that by isolating all of them to one box, and they started filling it up. I have a funny feeling that if I send my bad eggs to my broken Emerald, FireRed will continue producing them anyway. I'd like not to start my game over, because I really love my legit Lv98 Charizard.
I'd like to know: when making guides for removing bad eggs, is this ever thought of? Has it necessarily been solved whether or not the game will do that? I leave this up for discussion.
