Hey, you can't really say I'm new to pokemon yet after 99' I'm clueless. So I have 3 very good 3 card evolution sets but there in japenese. One looks like bayleaf or something and 2 others a fire and water pokemon ( equivlent to charizard blastoise and venasaur in the first set I think) But I'm planning on selling things via ebay yet I don't know what price I should set them at. If you trully need a pic I can get one. AND I have some others I could have you guys price if theres a good dealer on here. So just post a price on those jap cards if you know who I'm refering to.

Well thats nice (have you introduced yourself??). To get really interested in EBAY you might want to buy or rent a digital camrea... It helps alot! (you need to be at least 18 to use ebay also). I think them all would be atleast 40.00$^

Good thing you're not selling em' through PC lol.
    Um no way $40.00^.
Maybe i would pay 25.00 or lower. But it is EBAY lol.Good luck!

Terribly sorry, where are my manners. I'm a small dealer with bits and ends. I came along to seek some advice and used to play pokemon in 98'

Well I have 2 digital camcorders, but I'm to lazy to set things up. But tommorrow I'll post some pictures to help with this card assesment. So maybe about 12-15 hours after this post I'll put up pictures if possible, not sure.

EDIT: Might give a couple bucks to PC if my cards make enough money to satisfy my needs.

Those were the names of the cards. Dont remember the numbers, but the 3 Pokemon were from Neo: Genesis, out of the current Modified rotation, and that fact will detract from their value significantly. Blaine (the Trainer card) is from Gym: Challange, also out of the current Modified rotation. You might get $40 for the whole set of those, but I'm not sure...

Current Modified format includes the following sets:

    EX: Ruby and Saphire
    EX: Sandstorm
    EX: Dragons
EX: Team Magma vs Team Aqua
    EX: Hidden Legends
    EX: FireRed and LeafGreen
    EX: Team Rocket Returns
all Nintendo promos numbered 001 and up
    all POP series 1 promos
all EX sets released after Team Rocket Returns

All of the sets mentioned above are about a year and a half old. Neo: Genesis is about 3 years old. Almost everyone who is active in the Pokemon TCG is aware of the fact that those cards are no longer allowed in the Modified format (the most marketed format), although they are still allowed in the Unlimited format, which includes all cards except Ancient Mew.

Well I've read of those tornoments. And I understand. That trully sucks. But I'll have ago at them and see how I make out.

Selling those will get you roughly $25. The cards aren't that much needed any more and there actual value shows. I hope you get tons of money on them but, the market isn't really for those cards right now. Good luck in the tournaments if you do play in them, I'm sure you'll have a nice time.

Don't play pokemon, been playing MTG for years. Plus these are japenese so I don't know how to use them. And will the price ever rise?

if anything, fall. Those cards had their time in the sun when their value was relatively high (read: $50-70 for the set) but, at least for the forseeable future, that time is long since past. Nintendo is focused on the future of Pokemon TCG, and most of the players are focused either on the distant past (Bast thru Gym) or the future. Those cards will probably not gain any value over the next few months or even years. If you're willing to wait around and feel that Pokemon has the same staying power as MTG, their prices might increase in about 10 or so years. Willing to wait that long?

Actully yes I can wait that long. I would be coming out of college. But thats a mighty gamble. So once my Ebay account is unfrozen I'll listem. A shame I missed the rise of the price.
