[Eventing Question] Problem with Battle Backgrounds

    Hello everyone!
I want to know how we can change the battle background for my maps. There are three portions in my single map - a riverside portion, a sandy desert portion, and a brick path portion. Can I use three different battle backgrounds for all these? Because now, if I set a single background in metadata, no matter where I am, it shows me only that single background.
If I don't set the background in metadata, the brick path and riverside portion show the normal land and water battle backgrounds, but the sandy portion shows the same background as the normal land, instead of the sandy background.
I thought about using the 'change map settings<change battle background' option' as a player touch event when I step into the sandy portion, but it doesn't work. In fact, I read in the wiki that the 'change battle background' event does not work at all. So, how do I do this? Or is it simply hopeless?

Another problem I am facing regarding battle backgrounds is that even though i have enabled shading according to time of day, my battle backgrounds still show only the day background even in evening and night, (this happens only to the custom backgrounds I have put in, not to the original ones), even though I have shaded the backgrounds orange hue for evening and blue hue for night and saved them and also renamed them as required.

Why is this happening? If anyone can help me, I would be really greatful. English is not my native language, so please forgive me for any errors.

If the method on the wiki page "Backgrounds and music" under "Deciding which background to use" isn't doing what you want, I'd recommend splitting up your full map into several different maps based on which battleback you'd like to use, and then setting their battlebacks as you see fit in the metadate. As long as you give all of your maps the same name, it won't give you a new title card when you move between them.
