    I have a small problem with my fire red pokemon game, wondering if anyone else has similar problems or can help me out somehow

    I recently bought fire red off ebay, and i am pretty damn sure its a legit copy! i bought it so i can enjoy the wondrous experience of reliving the original pokemon game, as well as transfer pokemon from the cart my pokemon diamond game. i can happily play through the game and save it.

    However when i go into pokemon diamond game it can't find the gba cart i have stuck in so i cannot migrate. I then go back into the gba game and it has deleted my saved file and i have to start all over again. I have done this 4 or 5 times now and it still won't work and keeps erasing my saved game!

    I also have pokemon emerald and i have transferred pokemon from that with no problem. However pokemon fire red does not work and keeps resetting my game.

    Has anyone else had this problem? if so can it be fixed?

    I'm pretty sure that fire red is a bootlegged copy if it gets deleted when you've migrated. I've heard other people with this problem and they all had bootlegged copies of this game.

    This is why you shouldn't trust Ebay when buying stuff there. Plenty of people dump the game on to a blank cartridge and try to make it look like the original.

    The problem is i don't get the migrate option at all when its in the ds. if it is a boot leg, its the best copy of a bootleg i've ever seen and i've seen alot of bootlegs/copies on ebay!

    Did you receive the game on its cage, with all the instruction booklets and all of that from Nintendo? If you didn't it's probably illegal.

    i got the game boxed with the cardboard insert and the game, no instruction manual. the cart is a see through/transparent red, not a solid red colour. not sure if that helps.

    i had the extact same promlem with a version of emerald i had. mines was an usa version and mine was delting so i just got a new version of emerald and made sure it was a uk version...

    the game cart for FR is always a transparent red....

    thats all i can think of because i had the same problem ... hope it helps..

    Excuse me? A transparent Fire Red cartridge? I'm sorry to say it but someone swindled you out of your money, Fire Red cartridges are BARELY see through, they are orange and have a circle-firey design on the sticker where the POKEMON logo and FIRE RED VERSION are written on it... perhaps I should break out my digital camera and take pictures of the Legit Pokemon Cartridges I own.(Fire Red, Emerald, Ruby.)

    Actually you're wrong. This is what happens when you play a european version of Pokemon D/P with an Amercan GBA game stuck in. Happened to me with a copy of sapphire.

    Nope, this works.

    The PalPark system is only laguage locked, which means that games that play in the same language are compatible.

    USA = UK
    USA =/= JAP

    Sounds like you got a fraud copy of the game.I don't think the company would forget or mess up to not put an instruction booklet inside.Every game I've got works fine.
