Suggestion: Quick Trade Thread renewal

I think that every so often, say every time the Quick Trade Thread gets to 50 pages or so, that it should be deleted and recreated. That way, any clutter that isn't cleaned up (such as the first few posts in a huge QTT) will be cleaned up instantly.

That's just a suggestion, and I won't be mad or anything if that isn't implemented.

There are new QTT made every now and then. And it would probably be a bit less cluttered if the people actually deleted their posts after the trade.

The best way to discuss how to better one forum in particular is to get in touch with the people that moderate it. :) We pretty much have free rein in our own forums so to get something done there you should PM the moderators in charge (in this case, twistedpuppy and TwilightBlade).

Well the past two Quick Trade Threads were closed when they reached over 5,000 posts. Right now it's currently at a 1,000+. I can see it being a little cluttered, but compared to the other two threads we can keep this open a little longer. If we receive enough complaints about it, then we'll make a new one.

As for reinforcing the rule about deleting posts, it would require Blade and I contacting every trader that makes a post to see if they completed their trades. It's not really a rule we can enforce, but one that we suggest to traders. What we can possibly do is delete old posts dating back months to remove some of the clutter.

I'll bring this up with Blade when I get a chance.
