R-M-T. Here is my team.

Its not that I hate lapras, it just is so irritating to thing about in competative battles. Kingdra is considerable, but is it really a tank?

Kingdra can be a tank, if used properly. It gets rest and has access to good offensive moves, so I'd condier it. Kingdra has great typing, only weak to dragon types. Make sure specamences are gone b4 using it if you do.

Sounds good. Any recommended moveser/EV's?

Ooh, I'll give it a shot, but this is my first shot at tank kingdra:

Kingdra@Leftovers
Modest Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 129 Defense, 129 Special defense
~Dragon Pulse/Dragonbreath
~Rest
~Surf
~Filler...maybe toxic or yawn

Uh, good luck. Somebody else can provide a better set, but dragonbreath is pure annoyance and pulse has more power, but both have good coverage. Only empoleon resists both your attacks I think.

this is such an interesting way to use kingdra.
ive never seen it before, but it makes since seeing as he only has one weakness and even stats.
id use this:

Kingdra@Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP, 129 Defense, 129 SP Def.
Modest Nature
-Dragon Pulse
-Surf
-Toxic
-Rest

the only problem with a defensive kingdra is he doesnt really learn any support moves.
toxic and yawn like anti pop said would be your only real choices for support moves.

are you sure it can pass as a tank? How does Twister annoy? It always does 40 damage right?

That's a good move set, but the EV's I question only because Kingdra has a nice move pool, and it has no sp. attack EV's.

I've never used kingdra as a tank. Twister flinches, a lot for me. Special tanks...I can't beleive I forgot CMcune...that you should use.

Oh, in that case forget it, though it is by far the best special tank in the game IMO. Politoad? Now I just have no idea...

Ryperior isn't a good idea with my pokemon because of types...
Same with Snorlax.
I can't think. Tanks have always lost me.

I said politoad...anyways, a decent special tank can be a CM Hypno...I guess? Good luck...there are more physical tanks it seems...

I'll look into Politoad. Thanks.

Beleive it or not, it can belly drum...and has good special stats too. Never used much though...maybe you should give it a shot.

So what's a tank move set? Belly drum only increases attack I think

Politoad@Leftovers
Surf
Ice Beam
Psychic
Perish Song/Haze

Just guessed really. Other options are Hypnosis and Swagger... Tell me what you think :) What would EV's be: 252 HP 126 defense 126 sp. attack?

Kingdra is still an option BTW. Just don't know how it will work as a tank.

i really wouldnt recommend politoad as a sp wall.
he doesnt have that great defenses and he doesnt learn any really good support moves.
plus hes water type so hes gonna have to watch out for thunderbolts running around every corner.
he wont really be able to take t bolts like milotic does.
politoad doesnt look like a good choice at all to me.
id just go with milotic.

Milotic @Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SAtk
Bold Nature
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Recover
-Hypnosis

standard milotic set...

these tanks are getting on my nerves. I can't decide which one to use.

Ok, I'm training my Haunter as we speak. I'm not sure if it's my permanent one, because I have to train it for IV's and see what they are. I just checked them and they are still kinda shakey, but sp. attack is 26-29 and speed is 29. Are those good enough, or not? Here is all the EV's:

Modest #93 Haunter: 14 - 17 / 0 - 3 / 10 - 13 / 26 - 29 / 20 - 23 / 29

All around, not to shabby, but it could be better.

Edit: Can Bulky-Water Slowbro be a tank?

yes, it can. milotic sure is a great mixed wall. if you use politoad, give it HP electric for boltbeaming purposes? just throwing it out there...

Ok, Bulky Water it is...

Slowbro@Leftovers
Bold
252 defense, 172 sp. attack, 172 HP??? Don't know.
