It's coming. DUN DUN DUN! It's a 60-card set.
anyway, a summary of this new set coming soon: mana. It's got a lot more ways to play with your mana. Bounce it back to your hand because it was an important spell (but you needed the mana!). Blow it up so you can pump your guys. Whatever the case it is, it's got a lot to do with mana.
This set also encourages mono-coloured decks, as there are creatures that get continuously bigger with every other creature of its colour. There are even cards that can only be played when your mana zone is only of its colour. In addition, I know for certain there are cards that get bigger (how about a 6000 blocker for 3...if you have only blue mana?) with just one colour in your mana zone. Or how about a 4000 + 3000 double breaker...for 5...in the COMMON SLOT?
Now the cap on attack was 11000, right? They're raising that to 11500, I think (it's a super rare). Yup, super timmys coming right at you, since I see quite a few large creatures as well.
I'm pretty sure there's a cycle of cards that deal with the shields too (a cycle is a set of 5 cards that represent 1 of each colour), as I've seen 2 in the spoilers (I haven't finished it yet). (Update: there are quite a few cards that deal with the sheilds, so it's now officially a major portion of the set).
Evolution fans: there are evos in the set. YAY!
All in all, probably a worthwhile set in terms of the rares (tho I do sense a double-edged super rare coming along for the ride).
So yeah, next up: sheilds, mana zone and mono-colour enforcing cards.
Now that you've read my comments, I'll share the wealth to you too.
