Hello. I am wondering if having a Pokémon Ranger game can in any way, shape or form, make a difference in my Pokémon Diamond game...

Any info on the matter is greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

the only thing it can get for your diamond game is a manaphy egg

And how you can give the Pokémon Egg to Diamond? Usual trading from DS to DS?

Yeah, normal DS to DS. But you have to either hack Ranger or Diamond/Pearl,
because the event can't be downloaded anymore (that I know of).

Otherwise, I think Ranger is a pretty pointless game. I know people who like it,
and I appreciate that, but it's just not my kind of thing. :-l

No, it can be downloaded at any time so long as you've done the extra missions in Ranger and everything.

Basically, once you finish Ranger, there are some extra missions to complete. At the end, you receive a Manaphy egg which can be sent to Pokémon Diamond. It's kind of like a trade but I think it's more like mystery gift.

HOWEVER, you can only transfer one egg from the Ranger cartridge to your other cartridge. So if you borrow a friend's copy, or you buy it used and the previous owner downloaded Manaphy already, you won't get it even if you start and finish a new game. :( I learnt that the hard way so don't make the same mistake.

It's an okay game. The whole time I was scared of scratching my touch screen with all the repetitive circles, but it turned out okay. It's not something I'd pay full price for, but if you think it looks interesting, go for it, I guess. (I might just be bitter about playing through the whole game, not liking it, and then not getting a Manaphy to make up for it. XD)

Yeah, I finished the Manaphy missions before I restarted Pearl, and as a result, I still have the event guy standing around in the mart at Sandgem, where I first triggered it. I was freaked out about my touch screen too. XD; The game is so easy, but it's actually kind of hard -- after three hours, when you have repetitive strain injury... ;___; orz.

But yeah, the only thing it can give your copy of D/P/Pt. is a Manaphy, and that's if it's new/a used copy that doesn't have the mission taken. It won't enhance your experience and isn't worth paying full-price for at all. But it's still an alright game for killing time~ ^_^

Sounds like a lot of work for an egg. Can I get the egg an easier way that's still legit?
