Ranked battles with Kanto pokemon?

    So I've brought over some kanto pokemon from Blue to use online, I understand you can only use pokemon you can obtain in Alola.... but does that mean they MUST have been obtained in Alola?

    For example: Kadabra, Haunter, Machamp all had big RED X next to them (O/T & Trainer ID from Blue not Moon)
