And maybe a little editing to that excellent umbreon would be in order, Toothy, so that it doesn't fall prey to taunt.

Yes, my Umbreon has come across a Taunt abusing Tyranitar in NetBattle, so that can be a problem. Might take out Sub altogether for QA, could be a better change than dropping Moonlight (cos he does need an attack of some sort)
 
Tyranitar and Gyarados are both very famous taunt users. However, relatively taunt is still very rare so it's not too much of a threat to use Pokemon that does not do any direct damage at all.
 
Yeah, but still, it's the enemy of all BPsing users everywhere.Bye-bye boosters!!Unless, of course, they switch to a pokemon that can kick your taunt user in the positerior.XD

not really... it's quite a good split between having rock slide or earthquake for all physical Blazikens. ^_^;

Taunt is quite a useful move if you can find room for it. It really stops all tankers pretty much, and instead dead for Peckless Skarms/Ninjask/Dusclops/Umbreon. If used correctly, taunt is an awesome move!
 
okay, i double checked, and he can learn earhtquake. he jsut can't eht it as an egg move.

how exaclty does ev traiing work? I've been training in areas that has the evs I want, but I haven't really seeen any results regarding Evs. the trainer guide says to battle with the one your training while having a tank load of zigzagoons for Pickup. That's what I'm doing, so why does it seem like the Evs aren't working? :(
 
EVs kick in when you deposit the Pokemon into the PC. after you got the effort ribbon (meaning it's the end of your EV training as your Pokemon got all 510 EV), deposit that Pokemon and move on to train the next one. By the time you finish training the next one, the EV trained Pokemon's stats will rise. It works in the exact same manner as the box trick in GSC.
