Timid over modest is prefered. You can run the specs set which I believe is what I left in bold in the quote. I think, somebody would have to check. Or you can run the good ol subseeder set.

He needs a different EV spread to SubSeed

I'm pretty sure it's just more HP though...for more recovery from teh seeds if I remember correctly. Meh, I haven't used that set in years, so I'm not entirely sure lol

I need to check mine, but I think it's max HP, with a little Special Attack and the rest into defense.

Maybe it's just max HP and speed, since its goal is just to hide behind subs anyways.

This is the SubSeeder Set for 4th gen.........

    Scpetile @ Leftovers
    Trait: Overgrow
    EV's: 56 HP / 200 Def / 252 Spe
    Jolly / Timid Nature
    - Substitute
    - Leech Seed
    - Energy Ball / Leaf Blade
    - Hidden Power Fire / X-scissor. I'd go for the Special Moves for Timid, and the Physical Ones for Jolly...

    Way to copy from Smogon...AGAIN.

And I actually don't like that set anyways. I see no point using physical attacks on sceptile when it has better special attack in the first place.

And it can't take hits anyways, the way I see it, you might as well just max out HP or SAtk, or split EVs in both. Not like it can take hits (and the HP EVs are for leech seed to help with more recovery).
