    I've heard rumors that they'll come out with remakes (like red then fire red) but I'm not sure. Anyone know of anything? If you don't, go ahead and just chat about what would be great/bad about it.

    Hello?

    i dont think they will remake crystal. gold and silver remakes i am hoping desperatly for, but i'm not sure nintendo will do it. colloseum 1 and 2 had enough johto pokemon, i think nintendo wanted to avoid more remakes. the probably made the terrible games to stop people from asking for it. =( (it wont stop me from wanting it though)

    EDIT: double posting is bad

    Yes, most of my friends and myself are desperatly wanting remakes of G/S/C. They've said that it was the best out of them all, which I agree with in certain respects. I think they should though, because they made a remake of Red. If they didn't want people asking for a remake of S/G/C they shouldn't have made Fire Red and Leaf Green, now should they? ;)

    Sorry! ^^;

    i know, like i said a few times before, G/S were the best pokemon games ever made in my opinion. i loved the art style, story, region, 32 badges, everything about it. nintendo does need to make a remake, preferably for the ds.

    Yes. The 3 legendary dogs weren't all that original though, as they nearly followed the type footsteps that Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos left behind. Although it was the first Poke' game to have them run from you, which made it more challenging :D

    well yeah, but it added much needed good pokemon for the fire water and electric types. gsc also added the much needed heracross and god ghost attacks like shadow ball. genration 2 was good. the dogs were good pokemon with bad moves, and WERE kind of unorigional. you are right.

    Yes, they were wonderful pokemon if you managed to catch them, but they did have horrible movesets. Aurora Beam and Bubblebeam were disgusting when paird with Suicune. Entei (if they had had double types then) should've been Fire/Ground type, it would've suited it better, and instead of just having things like Flamethrower and Fire Spin (ew) it could've also had Earthquake and such. I have to say, Raiku was the best out of them (don't hurt me Suicune-loving users!) back then. Although if you were to introduce it into this generation of games with the same moveset it had back then, it wouldn't stand a chance.

    there have been double types since RBY, but the game had severe problems proccessing weakeness/resistaces affected by both types. GSC also split the special stat into spattack and spdefence, making mewtwo beatable. what moveset did you raikou have? i thought raikou was cool but i didnt use any of the dogs i caught.

    Oops, forgot 'bout that ;-;
    Yes, not making Mewtwo beatable in the first game was a sore mistake on Nintendo's part.
    I think can remember part of it, Thundershock, Thunder Wave and a couple others.

    why thundershock? did you just use the moves it came with? it should know thunderbolt or maybe thunder

    I taught it Thunder when I caught it, but I never battled with it, so I never bothered.

    hmm. we're kind of off topic, but i realy don't care that much.
    I dont see what the point of suicune is. cresslia is far better.

    I just noticed this, you misspelled crystal in the thread title =D

    I don't really like either very much, in psychic Legendary terms, I prefer Latias/Latios or Jirachi and for water I prefer Kyogre or Palkia.
    Houndoom came from the 2nd gen, and that's one of my faves. <3

    i can tell (that you like houndoom). i dont use either, i have a sould dew latios trained because of how awesome soul dew is. BUT suicune is somehow popular. if you know what the appeal of it is, please let me know. (i dont use the latios much, i'd trade it to you for a shiny or something)
    until then i'm planning a new team. my current one is cool but i keep losing all my battles..

    Soul Dew IS awesome.
    I really don't know what the appeal of Suicune is. One of my 'friends' says he likes them because they're water type (and that they're prettier than the other 2. A GUY said this O.O ) And he hates Entei with a burning (pardon the pun) passion because, and I quote, 'It's so ugly!'
    Thanks for the offer, but I'm happy with my current Latios (And I prefer Latias for some reason, even though I think pink is hideous D: ) :D
    What kind of team are you planning? My team right now has 2 Rayquazas, a Garchomp, My Infernape, A Charizard and My Houndoom. All of them are in their 60-80's (except for my Houndoom, who I'm training)

    the old team was ugh..... mategross flygon milotic typlosion alakazak and weavile.

    the new one will consist of: typhlosion, salamence, heracross, cresslia(filler), gliscor, and starmie. if you want to know the moves/natures/evs and such, ask me.

    Nice team. The only one I'm not sure about is Starmie. I just don't know what to replace it with though...

    A friend (real life) recomended it to me. it walls many types and is fairly fast, so i'm going to try it. if i dont like it i wont finish training it. easy as that. =D

    Its there because i need to take out my milotic, but i wanted something with similar moves. TB/Ice beam/surf/psychic on starmie. milotic cant learn electric attacks. thats one of its few problems.

    Sounds like a good plan to me! I just tend to ignore first gen for some reason now...I'm sorry you poor neglected souls!
