After I watched the Goosebumps movie today, I remembered I have never read any of the books. If I was to read any of the books, I don't know where to start. Should I start with the original books? Or the Tales to give you Goosebumps? Or maybe the Give Yourself Goosebumps? Maybe the Goosebumps Presents? Or the Goosebumps Triple Header? How about Goosebumps Series 2000? Or maybe Goosebumps Horrorland? Maybe Goosebumps Most Wanted?

I'd say start with the original series and work your way on from there. There are a few in the Series 2000 set that follow on from the original series, and the Horrorland ones stem from one of the original ones as well. Most of them are standalone though, so you could read them in whatever order you want.

Give Yourself Goosebumps are a little more interactive, as they'll have you making choices and hopping between pages; just something to keep in mind with those.

Just like what Meloetta said, I think Goosebumps' stories are not really connected with each other so I say start from whatever title interests you the most and decide from there.

I'm not really an avid fan of RL Stine but I can say that the best goosebumps that I have read are the "Choose your own scare" Goosebumps. As from what I can recall, the good one that I've read is about a haunted carnival. It kept me occupied for a couple of days. :) You can try that as well.
