Red on Mt. Silver

In pokemon g/s/c/Hg/Ss Red is on Mt Silver. Also, through the game they say that a guy named Red defeated Team Rocket. And what about if i've chosen the female character (can't remember her name D:) in Pokemon Fr/Lg?

Even if you would have chosen a female protagonist in Fr/Lg,everything would have remained the same ie, Red would still have met you at the summit of Mt.Silver and everything else.
Also in Gold, Silver and Crystal, we play as either Gold or Crystal and Red is there from the 1st generation, ie, Red/Blue/Green/Yellow.

The manga is a separate canon and Red from the manga isn't the same as Red from the games.

Either way gonna lock this since the question is answered and it doesn't belong here. If you pick Leaf nothing changes. Red is the champion and the canon character there.
