[Episode Discussion] Reference to May? Pokemon Sun and Moon Episode 23

I was watching the sun and moon series, when I came across a wig/hat in the 23rd episode.

Is this a reference to May?

Actually now that I think about it a lot of these wigs could be a reference, like the middle hair at the bottom for Brock, middle hair on top for Lysandre

Yes. Pretty obvious don't ya think? They have Easter Eggs all the time but unfortunately that's the only cameo May will have since her Japanese VA is no longer doing Voice Acting. I'd be shocked if May was to return to the Anime any time soon. Dawn, Iris and Serena have better odds than May does.
