Yo Blasty. I made this post right now for the regionals since i don't got no AIM.

Anyway, basically you gotta know your environment and know what you're going up against. Last year's regionals were dominated by bidding, control Affinity, and Slide. This year, since bidding and Slide is out of the equation, it looks like it's affinity, tooth, and UW control.

However, the only thing we DO know is what we have so far. We can't really work until we have solid Kamigawa stuff to work with.

And if you're going to the regionals, it's better to take a deck that is more of an extremist. For example, a Raffinity build for regionals would be running the blasts, platings, and atogs (whereas normally only 1 or 2 are present). I'm not sure on the control tho, since I'm never any good with those.

    More later. I'm sleeping.

I was thinking of taking my Ponza or my modified tooth/nail
my ravager affinity is out of the question right now....
Goblin Bidding seemed to be fairly popular
however i have a feeling my Ponza is enough
    i've got the sloggers,firewlakers,ld's
    everything

Well Bidding won't be at regionals tho. It would have rotated out by regionals (and with Champs of Kamigawa taking its place). What you have for tooth anyway? counter tooth, Ursa tooth, 12post, or another one?

    Urza Tooth
    modified with triskull/mindslaver
but i was thnking of taking my Ponza...

oic. I'd better ask you WHEN your regionals is. I'm not sure, since mine are at around October to November (there are probably eariler ones, right?).

Anyway,I'm guessing Ponza's probably your safest choice right now so to speak. Again, we dont' know what can come out of Kamigawa...

regionals? i dint no about this...newys...i might not participate as my decks are usually type 1 and i usually dont do tourny play

no the regionals past in Cali
    i think..
so i'm gonna try out next year
    my ponza is like
    turn 1: mountain,chrome mox,Slith Firewalker
    hit you for 1
    turn 2:mountain,LD,
    stirke for 2
    (*really abusive)
    turn 3:mountain,stirke/pyroclasm or Magma Jest
    turn:4 chrome mox,slogger
    turn 5:LD hit for 7

Next year? Then it's definitely going to be Kamigawa/Mirrodin then. That means you won't be seeing slide or bidding (GASP!). I don't know. I've been looking mainly as block constrcuted and if there are any changes in T.2, then...well I wouldn't know. lol

Apparently the current innovation is UR control. But I haven't seen anything from that yet (also I'm thinking you'll probably have 8th instead of 9th next year). We'll see.

btw virus, Regionals are always Type 2.

    my ponza's gonna be crazy
i'm gonna mix it in with a few cards when Kamigawa comes of course

yeah i think i need more burns
    pyroclasms are in my side-deck

    no..
i don't rely on my burns to win
you know what i'll post my deck

Alright I saw it. Land d? I guess. My friend played that last year in the Regionals...came up with a 0-win record (ouch for actually losing one match for not writing in the decklist correctly)...then again, he was going up against psychatog, mono-black (he didnt' get a match against mono-black, which he would have pwnd), slide, goblin bidding, UG madenss, and Wake...
