My second RP. Thought of it when I was drawing some stuff during school. Hope it catches on ^^.
Choc-a-block full of fantasy (the story):
The mystical empire, which was hidden in regions unbeknownst to the other civilizations that dominated the "Regions of Colour", became suddenly and increasingly popular as one of the greatest stories that could ever have been read, heard or seen in its world. This story was so big, it begun to create a riptide of caution, desperation and anguish through the multiple and colourful regions of the Regions of Colour. The regions' people and dogs begun to grow more and more uncertain as their leaders' became less and less capable of governing each of their colourful states. The regions' cats continued to sleep. The story created such an impact that the leaders of each region of colour decided to assemble together to speculate, formulate and put into action a new world order. Instead, after a gruelling half hour of arguing about what colour the rainbow was, the leaders decided to hold an anniversary event to promote the benefits of eating fish soup and how it is best served in a meal. The story was instantly forgotten and peace was immediately maintained by the Regions of Colour's anti-law enforcers, also known as ROC-ALE. That was the last record of the story's existence in the Regions of Colour. That was until one day when an unbelievably annoying toy duckling stumbled across a set of disbanded and confiscated video tapes showing some unreleased footage of toys being made in the multiple regions' toy factories. He also found the only shred of evidence of that great story of one year ago when chaos took over the nation for half an hour. Being a toy, and a duck for that matter, he quickly trashed the video tapes and returned home across the road. There the tapes lied for another half hour, before the emperor of the mystical region hidden between the other civilizations in the Regions of Colour, discovered their existence. The emperor knew that if the tape was to be rediscovered and released into the world, chaos would once again imbue the nation for more than just half an hour. However, a devilish gang of creatures from a number of imposing regions had realised that the story was not completely forgotten. After torturing the toy duckling, the gang discovered the whereabouts of the tape of only three metres across the road, where the emperor stood holding the tape labelled "The Story from One Year Ago that Caused Chaos for Half an Hour". Knowing he was in danger, the emperor called a taxi and returned to his empire where he sealed the tape in a vault, which guarded the entrance to his temple. Not taking the risk of locking the vault in case he forgot the code, the emperor was quickly subdued and the tape was stolen. Another meeting between the Regions of Colour's leaders was held shortly after the emperor regained consciousness to evaluate the problem. They decided that the only way to find and retrieve the missing tape, which held the story that would inevitably cause a lot of people to get angry, was to hire an elite squad of people, creatures, and things to do their work for them. The mission was clear, simple and unorthodox, but in war, nothing will happen if you do something.
A little dose of reality (the rules):
Power-playing is strictly prohibited unless you get the consent of the person you're wishing to manipulate.
God-mode is frowned upon as well, so don't talk yourself up too much.
We can start without a limit to the number of people in this RP, but if it gets out of hand (which it has done before), I'll have to cut down the cast.
Try to be original with your characters and with what you write in each post, but then again, considering the plot line to this story, they'll be a lot of clichés floating around. Just try to avoid them.
Take your time in the beginning. No need to rush the story because the ending will be short. Have fun with what your characters.
Of course, you must remember the traditional rule of four lines per post. No less or you'll run the risk of being booted.
Follow the guidelines and everything will be a-okay. You can't spell "fun" without "f", "u", and "n".
More reality (the guidelines):
Follow the simple guidelines for submitting a sign-up sheet below and hopefully we can get this thing cracking (note the ones with an (*) are compulsory fields, don't fill em out and you won't get in).
*Name: Your character's name goes here, not yours, unless of course you're using your name for your character's name, then that's fine.
*Age: How old your character is.
*Gender: Are you a "male" or a "female"?
*Personality: What is your character like? Is he/she a generally happy person or is he/she serious? Stuff like that.
History: This part is optional but I would like to know a little about your character's history of a time before they were hired by the leaders. Stuff like what region were they from, or how they were treated at home when they were five years old, or if they spent seven years in an underground toy factory making crockery.
*Species: What species are you? You can choose from the list below.
*Appearance: What does your character look like? Pictures are fine but try posting URL's (links) rather than actual pictures in your post. Makes it look neat and clean.
*Background region: Where you came from basically. Choose a region from the list below. You can describe it if you want like for example: Region of Blue – (Your Character) comes from a hidden spring shielded by a mystical waterfall. Something like that.
Other: Any other scraps that I forgot to post go here.
RP Sample: This part is also optional, but it would benefit you more to provide one. Pretend I'm an employer and I see two sign-up sheets, one with an RP-Sample and one without. I would generally lead towards the one with the RP-Sample, of course, if the sample was atrociously bad then that'll be another case.
Reality is starting to hurt your eyes huh? (More guidelines):
Species list: Human, Toy (make up a type (eg. rubber duck, jack-in-the-box, etc.)), Dragon (you can't be oversized and your flying abilities are limited at higher altitudes), Food (you're a living treat), Part-Human Part-Animal (can't remember its name, something like anthro or something…anyway, you can choose the part-animal side), Demon (basically like devilish creatures that have some strength and magical knowledge – god-mode is a factor here so be considerate), Beast (basically an animal, except more intelligent and hell a beefed-up), Plasma (these things are just small blobs of matter which latch onto any living being and takes control of that creature as a host – be careful if you're going to be one of these things, power-playing becomes a factor with these guys).
Regions list: White, Red, Yellow, Green, Black, Violet, Blue. If there are any other colours you think you would want to use just put it into your sign-up and if it's not too broad I'll add it here.
Could be an example or guide for you to follow or just a waste of space (my sign-up sheet):
*Name: Phanima
*Age: 10
*Gender: Male
*Personality: Phanima is a person who doesn't like confrontations or large crowds of people and/or things. He finds the most reliable part of his personality is his relationships with his friends and family. When comfortable in a relationship, whether romantic or friendly, he becomes very relaxed and laid back and tends not to take situations, no matter how grave or dangerous, very seriously. He enjoys company with people/things that he finds himself able to relate to on some level. He doesn't like being the centre of attention and tends to stay back in a group or with a small group of his own. His most serious unrest and dislike, is time. He believes that time controls how the world works and finds it incredibly annoying.
History: Phanima grew up like most other Human children alone in the depths of the "Region of Black". However, after turning 10, he was able to join the ranks of the Region of Black's cookery courses and made many a dishes of the region's favoured meal, liquorish pudding. After placing second in the region's annual cooking competition, he decided to go across the world and explore the other colour regions within the Regions of Colour. It was then, when he was recruited by the hidden empire's emperor for an adventure that had no pending success ahead of itself.
*Species: Human
*Appearance: Phanima is a small boy who stands at approximately so high centimetres and weighs a certain amount of kilograms. He has short black hair with a number of blue streaks decorating his sidelines. He wears a white collar shirt with rolled sleeves tucked into a pair of black trousers, suspended by a silver-buckle belt. A neat black apron dresses across his front and ties itself behind across his back. His attire also includes a pair of white sneakers decorated with trimmings of blue padding. A large rice cracker design is also printed across his apron.
*Background region: Region of Black – Phanima's home resides deep within the centre of the Region of Black. His home is sheltered by a large dome of ash and debris that when a particular wind blows over it, they grow another mailbox. The black trees around his house later crumbled and crushed his home into dust.
Other: Phanima lived with a foster family for a while who were all of the Part-Human Part-Animal species. He was born like most of the other Region of Black children from "The Mountain Shrouded by Crows". After being adopted, he fell in love with his Part-Human Part-Animal sister but then realised his passion for making liquorish pudding was far greater than any relationship and then followed his path in becoming a cook. His family was crushed when his house collapsed during the cooking competition.

Miles opened his eyes as a gentle feeling brushed across his face. Looking down to where he had been resting, Miles noticed that he had opened the classroom window allowing a number of petals to pile onto his desk. A small yellow and winged plush toy was also resting in his hands as he brought himself into a sitting position. Looking around the room, Miles noticed that many of the students were preparing for lunch and were leaving to go outside or into the cafeteria.
I didn't realise sleep made me so hungry… he mumbled as he stood up to leave. Securing his pet toy in his arms and brushing away most of the petals decorating his desk, Miles grabbed his boxed lunch and left the classroom.
The sun was bright outside as Miles entered the school's lower grounds behind the classroom buildings. Two young male students and a female student brushed past him as he made his way towards a small crowd where an Angelic Fight had apparently ended. Ignoring the crowd, Miles made his way around the building and up onto a small knoll covered in shade from several overhanging branches. Placing the small toy beside him as he sat down, Miles began to open his boxed lunch when something suddenly caught his attention.
"A cat?" he asked, as he watched a small grey black-striped kitten leap into a panel of garbage containers. A chorus of meows followed its journey into the school's waste disposals.
Leaving his spot, Miles abandoned his lunch and cautiously approached the garbage container the kitten had fallen into. The kitten appeared desperately frustrated as its attempts to lift itself from the container continued to fail.
"Maybe it belongs to someone," Miles said watching the small cat struggle in its confines. Careful not to get himself gouged by the kitten's claws, Miles gripped the fur behind its neck and lifted it into his hands. Seeing its strangely coloured fur as he held the kitten in his hands, Miles began to wonder if the animal was even an actual cat, or something else. "Well, I suppose I should let you go," he continued, as he freed the kitten onto the ground. "And don't go eating rubbish again."
The small kitten meowed and Miles smiled. Then as he prepared to return to his lunch, the sound of the school's bell tolled in the air. Lunch was over.
Miles watched as the kitten turned and faced the building's side. Smiling, he returned to where he had left his boxed lunch and promised himself that he would finish it during class. Packing away what was his whole lunch, Miles gathered the boxed package and the small plush toy into his arms and decided to return to the classroom. Straightening up with everything in hand, Miles prepared to return to class when an indescribable sound filled the air.
Miles turned immediately to where the noise had originated and saw that the side wall of the building to where he had had an encounter with the small kitten was torn apart. What's going on…? he thought, as he watched a dark figure leap through the hole in the wall. And what was that thing?
