[Other] Remaking Starter Cutscene

    Howdy! I cannot find if there is another way to make the starter cutscene.
    Specifically I would like to do an emerald rom hack and overhaul a good chunk of it so I don't mind rewriting scripts.
    Would there be a way to redo the Oak starter selection but in Ruby?

    Basically I want to keep Ruby's exclusive mechanics (secret bases, contests, etc), but have a Fire Red start
